My 3 year old was put on Mepron/Zithromax for babs.
She took it 22 months.

She's done, off all meds for 8 months and is great today.

catskillmamala, what were your 3 year old's babesia symptoms? How did you know when to stop

the treatment?

You might want to search for a member named "dilly"....I think her official name on here is "sometimesdilly".

Her young son was treated with Mepron and Zithromax (zith I believe) and is now mostly, if not all the way, better.

I am not sure how long he was on the Mepron/Zith for.

She was bit during pregnancy with him, and wasn't adequately treated during her pregnancy. Later on, he was treated for Lyme, but didn't fully recover, and I guess once they started treating for babesia, he showed a lot more progress.

That is the story to the best of my recollection. She uses Lyme Friends (lymefriends.com) on occasion too, if you would like to get in touch with her.

My 14 year old is on an initial six month course; but now is actually at 8 months, so I'm not sure. I'll find out more at his August LLD appt, but he still runs a fever and gets night sweats so I'd say he is not done yet.

ps-Tracy, when do you take your child's temperature.

Morning and evening. He always feels warm, and always runs a temp, usually higher at night, hovers around 100.
