I know they not used much in US . But here is what I have researched so far:

There are different kinds
T, B chain and phagocyte activity. They extensively used to threat chronic infections in combination with abx .They generally increases abx effectiveness allowing usage of lower doses.

One I am interested in is pyrogenal which is purified lyposacharides from bacteria which induces immune responce. It induces fever ,depending on dosage
It is used extensively for detox, treatment of chronic infections etc.

Spirochetes die at 106 . Fever was used as a treatment for syphilis (which is induced by similar bacteria and has similar chronic symptoms)

So I am thinking it should make perfect sense to run something like that as a course side by side with abx. or even alone (protocols I read could be quite brutal and aggressive- spanning over 30 -60 days, using it every 3 day )

Where do you get this stuff like pyrogenal?

It is is very common drug in Russia(where I am originally from) . You can order it online trough pharmacy for dirt cheap.

Anyways it looks like relatively safe and proven approach I read bunch of protocols using it -from treating alcoholism ,drug addiction to various infections .And unlike some wierd toxic quackery (e.g. DNP)it was used and still is used by many physicians and is officially approved for those kinds of things

Thing is I only recently got diagnosed with lyme, reason I even started seeing dr is because my neuro symptoms became really bad ,so I couldnt ignore it anymore. The worsening of symptoms strangely coincided with my quitting gym ( I got really sick for a month or so and then it just went downhill)

So what gym had to do with symptom control? -I did mostly anaerboic strength exercises with a high to very high intensity . Which raises your body temperature quite a bit .

Another thing I am thinking to try is sauna.

So anyways I am thinking if I start abx protocol I will combine it with pyrogenal . Just wondering if anyone else tried same approach

It may have not been the heat from the exercise which helped you, but the immune boosting effects exercise has.

Then the illness which made you stop going to the gym may have added to the load on your body's immune system so that it could no longer keep your Lyme symptoms at bay. Just a thought.

Inducing fevers isn't a good idea to me, especially if you have dysautonomia (common with Lyme).

One month ago I had a fever of 104/103 for one night and I haven't been the same since.

I have heard that infrared saunas can help, so there must be a correlation with heat. But truly be careful inducing fevers, especially if you have dysautonomia.

I think that's my problem and why the fever affected me so much. My body has a hard time cooling itself down, self-regulating. The fever did me in.

Hi coltman,

I used Samento, an immune modulator, for four years as my main Lyme treatment. I am allergic to all the effective antibiotics.

Samento made me herx unbearably, so I never could reach the proper minimum dose. I believe it did slow progression of the disease, based on how fast it has progressed since I stopped taking it.

Samento is now part of an entire protocol for Lyme treatment called the Cowden Protocol. There is a ton of research on it which you should easily find by Googling.

I am now using Epicor, an immune modulator that is proven to increase immune Natural Killer cells by 400% and does not cause herxing. The CD57 type of Natural Killer cells is much lower than it should be in Lyme patients.

Despite the fact that Epicor should help a lot, since it boosts the innate immune system, the part of immunity that is weak in Lyme, I do not notice a difference after many months of taking it. At first, it seemed to help a lot, but then it stopped helping fairly quickly.
