I thought this was rather interesting. Brilliant Blue G, the food dye that gives blue M&Ms their color may help mend spinal injuries.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/5921266/Blue-MandMs-mend-spinal-injuries.html http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32178712/ns/health-more_health_news/ .

It does appear that way doesn't it? First Methylene Blue and now Brilliant Blue G. But the blue dyes aren't the only dyes that have medicinal properties. The purple dye Gentian Violet has some useful medicinal properties as well.Gentian Violet's antifungal properties. http://www.docguide.com/news/content.nsf/news/852571020057CCF68525736F0075EDD0 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1567268 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8389723 In the study directly above Gentian Violet killed a fungus that Itraconazole couldn't kill. And Itraconazole is one of the most powerful antifungal drugs available. Gentian Violet is also an effective treatment for other infectious diseases such as Impetigo and MRSA. Gentian Violet is effective against MRSA http://iospress.metapress.com/content/l8q8t35x62v03201/fulltext.html http://tinyurl.com/ldwj2u Plus Gentian Violet is very cheap.

Oh, you can actually buy bags of blue m&m's. People say that the blue ones taste different from other colors.
