This came up in another thread - wondering if this is true for more than just a few of us.

All of my physical symptoms have been on the left side of my body. These have included the following:

Headache
Facial numbness/tingling
Eye problems
Back Pain
Neck Pain
Leg and foot numbness/tingling
Colon issues
Ovarian cyst
Knee swelling

I have also had the fatigue, the brain fog, the loss for words and other cognitive issues but physical presentation is always on the left side.

Just wondering what the reason for this might be and if anyone else has experienced something like this.

Hi Aimee,

Many of my symptoms have a 'sideness' to them.

The numbness and tingling of my feet/legs and hands/arms is much worse on the left side (but it does bother me on the right as well, just not as bad)

When I get facial numbness (often after a warm shower or exercise) it is exclusively on the left side.

The aching eye pain (like someone is trying to dig my eyeball out with a spoon) and blurriness that I get is in the right eye (go figure).

Ken

Yes, most of my symptoms are on my right. Does anyone know why this is? How can a bacteria pick a side? Or is it that it depends on what part of your brain is effected like when you have a stroke?

My symptoms are on both sides, but usually worse on the right side.

Hi--

For some reason several systems usually
show up on the left side --

Bells palsey is usually on the left side
of face--

Also the chest pain from Babs is
usually on the left side of chest--

It is from cartilage between the rib cage
gets inflamed and hurts and most people
think they are having a heart attack --

For me vast majority of the time they are equal on both sides.

I'm mainly right side with 90% but I have a couple of little niggles which like the left better.

I've always wondered why this is too.
