For the past two days my twitching has came back. I had it pretty bad the first week or two of getting sick but it subsided. Now it's back and driving me crazy. It's not in a particular area... it's all over! Very small twitching... I'm sure no one else notices, but I sure do!

I also feel kinda jittery and weird. I'm wondering if I'm in somekind of a herx or something... I've been feeling really tired and weak the last few days too.

So frustrating cause I had a phase for several days where I was close to symptom free. But it all came back. I hate when that happens.

I've been in treating for close to a month now and think I herxed in the first week of treatment..kinda leveled out, felt a bit better, and hit bottom again. Is this a normal pattern?

I'm getting so frustrated.

Is there anyway of getting rid of the twitching/ jitteryness? What causes it?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear, I can still vaguely remember when the twitching was so disturbing to me . . . but I've been twitching for 9 YEARS. Yep, since May 5, 2000. If you do a search using 'twitch' you will find ALOT of posts to this topic.

don't let it freak you out. If you go the magnesium route, you may find one of two things: it will help, or it won't!

If someone ever posts on this forum what will make the twitching go away, I will so be there!

The B12 helps me a lot. Especially for that internal humming feeling. And a pinch of salt.

Twitching was never really one of my symptoms, but over the past month I have begun twitching.

Like you, it's nothing big or noticeable, but it's annoying to me.

I get it in my foot, in my hand, at my eye, beside my nose, and most annoyingly in the right side of my abdomen--and I've had some abdominal pain/discomfort as well (don't know if it's related.

I haven't started or stopped any meds lately, so I don't know what's going on.

Have you been treated for parasites/worms? They play a MAJOR role in Lyme disease. Check

Get some good magnesium!! It stops the twitching. Mag sulfate injections or IV mag if you are on that, plus oral Mag tab SR to bowel tolerance.

Yes, magnesium stops the twitching. In our case it took some time, but worked really well. You can take it at bedtime if you are having trouble sleeping.

This sounds very typical of a herx. You've been on tx for a month, the twitches disappeared and are now returning....right on schedule. Hang in there, you're tx is obviously working!

Magnesium should help the twitching a bit.
