I know Lyme is every 4 wks. or so but I've been noticing that I'm very sore all over every 2 wks. or so. Most recently we've suspected Bart with me. Does Bart follow this cycle? How about Babesia? How often to each of those flare? Thanks!

HAD A NEIGHBOR WHO HAD THAT TOO...DOCS, HER - SHE WAS AN RN TOO - AND ME - BAFFLED. WE ALL TRIED TO FIGURE IT OUT.

ONLY 2 WEEK FLARES, THEN TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY OKAY...VERY STRANGE.

IF YOU FIGURE IT OUT, PLEASE PM ME AND I WILL PASS THE INFO ONTO HER.

WE LOOKED AT HORMONES AND EVEN NORMAL CELL DESTRUCTION TIMING.

VARIOUS CELLS ARE MADE AND USED UP = DESTROYED AT DIFFERENT TIMES.

WHEN PROTEINS ARE BROKEN DOWN = NH3 = TOXIC

I read somewhere that Babesia cycles every 2 weeks. Sorry I don't remember where I read it.

FRIEND ONLY HAD A COUPLE OF DAYS - PRIMARILY EXTREME FATIGUE - OF SYMPTOMS EVERY 2 WEEKS.

OTHERWISE - EVERY OTHER DAY SHE WAS COMPLETELY (!)NORMAL.

SHE HAD ASCESS TO THE BEST DOCS IN THE UK AND USA...

WENT TO MANY.

MEDICAL MYSTERY - NOT SOLVED FOR HER.

This is interesting. Because my white cell count rollercoasters in just about 2 week increments. I see a recommended LLMD next week, so hopefully we'll find out.

I had 48 hours of sickness every week while treating babesiosis. My now famous lyme doc said that babs has a one week and two week cycle.

My 48 hours started every Friday evening and lifted every Sunday evening like clockwork. Otherwise, I was normal. Adding artimesinin to my meds cut the sick time way down--to hours instead of days--and made it milder.

Doc had me take the art to encompass the sick time. Took it all day Friday, Sat and Sun, always on an empty stomach.

Eventually under his treatment, the sick time shifted to a few hours every 2 weeks. Then, finally, no more flares.

So, this, to me explains Laura J's 2 week flares and Marnie's friends' 2 week flares.

I am assuming that you are a woman. It could be a worsening of symptoms due to hormonal shifts. I have this.

Kathy,

Maybe that does have something to do w/it. Maybe at ovulation and pre-menstrual.

That could be true, about the cycling. But I don't think that would have anything to do with my elevated white cells.

Dear laura j,
I have similar symptom flares. My usual menstrual cycle bothers it. These symptoms are miserable! It makes my breasts hurt and lymph nodes, as well as causes stomach cramps and nausea similar to morning sickness. I have had this for a years.

Sincerely,
Jin

What flares every couple of days? I have maybe 2 better days, then a few really bad days.
