First it was pressure, then switched to pain, then both, now back and forth, but it is constant and doesn't let up.

I am trying not to take the Percocets I was given as they really don't take the pain away, but rather distract me and allow me to tolerate it better, but this is not a long term answer.

I just took one and didn't take one for 2 days as I don't want an addiction problem next on my plate.

Does anyone else have this ? My MRI is clean. My LP is Clean. My guess is that it's the Ketes gone wild, but I don't know for sure. This is just one symptom that has flared of about 10 or so since that IVIG.

I'm taking 5-HTP and it is helping greatly with the depression and anxiety. When I cry now it is only because of the pain in my head. I can usually tolerate very high levels of pain, but this is getting ridiculous.

I had shoulder pain that wasn't going away even though my Lyme is just about in remission. I went to see a chiropractor and it's helping a LOT!

He said toxins can cause inflammation, which pushes the bone out of whack. Then it's a nice place for bacteria/toxins to congregate.

Perhaps it's something like that happening with your neck?

Insurance is covering my chiropractic adjustments.

Thanks Lisa, kind of sounds a little similar, but this pain in my head is a 20/10 and I'm not exaggerating.

It might be some sort of Vasculitis.

Will have to find another Neuro doc. now. I might need another MRI as I havn't had one since this all started.

Wow I have been going througt the same thing. MRI CT scan everything comes back fine.

No medication I have taken is ever able to even make a dent in the pain I feel.

I even went to the ER and they game me an IV with pain meds and just like you said all it did was allow me to tolerate.

Still have not been able to find and answer.

I'm serious about the chiropractic .... remember, all nerves go through your spine. [Smile]

Lymetwister-

Do you think a Brain Spect and PET Scan would be helpful? Apparently these tests are supposed to show more detail than an MRI.

My headaches went away after successful treatment of babesia.

Sorry you've been dealing with this for so long, it feels horrible. I'm in a flare right now so my headaches have come suddenly and decided to stay.

Might even be sinus related, do you do nasal flushes? I might try those again, might help and can't hurt! Feel better soon!

Oh, those headaches, I remember them- the WORST. I am so sorry you're dealing with them. I just wanted to post that for me personally it IV ABX to get rid of them.

Maybe they arise from cranial nerve inflammation ('chetes doing) or meningitis or...

One never knows when dealing with Lyme and company, but I would ask your LLMD about them and about addressing neuro Lyme full-on if you are not already.

MorningSong might be onto something about getting a SPECT done. I haven't had one so can't comment much, but perhaps another thing to consider.

Hope you feel a little better today.

Does anyone know what kind of headache causes the one sided pain? I know there's different symptoms for migraines, tension,...which one causes the one sided pain?

LT,
I just finished a 6-week headache episode. I have migraines a lot but never for 6 weeks, every single day.

They started a few days after i added amoxicillin to the mix. Then, one day they just stopped as suddenly as they had started.

I'm still puzzled by the whole thing. The headaches can be brutal. I hope you find relief soon. Have you called your llmd?

I take imitrex or excedrin migraine.

Lisa, Migraines are known to be one-sided.

Only two months? Not sounding unsympathetic, but I have had a headache since last December. Nonstop. Mostly on one side. All tests are clean. I wouldn't bother with a neuro. It you read Cure Unknown Pam W. talks about it as part of Babesia, and it didn't go away until she treated the Babs.

I take fiorcet with codeine, 2-3 a day. Yes they can become addictive if you're not careful, but I only allow myself to have up to 3 no matter how bad
