Okay if you have been in remmission for 6 years and start having symptoms again. I'm on abx mild dose and feel same way when i took it with lyme. I cant remember if it will show up on W.B. Do your docs usually retest for Lyme or just go by clinical symptoms when you come out of Remmision?

I was also in remission for 6 years. From 2000 to 2006. I think it came back because I was always on single abx therapy and never had my babesia treated at all.

Luckily, I switched docs in 2008. I remember the new doc did do a new WB of his own but took my positive Babesia test that I had a while back since it was never treated.

I don't even want to think about what would have happened to me if I didn't switch docs. Still have stomach and fatigue issues but I have a life again.

Hum interesting 6 years too. I think if mine is for sure back, Its because i feel. I had 9 markers on my wb the first time. Just wondering if other docs had people do another wb to prove they were out of remission.

I know these abx are making me feel horrible again.
thanks

did your WB turn negative after finishing your first round of tx?

For many people, from what Ive heard, can still have positive IGG and IGM even when they are in full remission. the body can sometimes retain memory of the past infection and have antibodies floating around even years after the active infection is gone.

O2, I am remembering and I wasn't sure it was back either in 06. Mostly because the symptoms were a bit different.

But you know I think I was in denial. These tests are just not that accurate. All docs agree on that one.

And like Yanivnaced said it may never turn negative. I'm going to try to treat 3 mos past when I am symtom free this time; like people on here have said works.

I have not had a WB since the first one 13 years ago.

I wasnt a very good patient. I would feel better then quit meds and about 1 year i would have symptoms again. Take abx until i felt better. I know thats a no no but just couldnt take it.
Until about 6 years ago i was in the hospital and had surgery they gave me abx iv. I think it was enough to make me perk up and was doing fine. Until about a year ago. During that time i fell three times once cracked my head on a door frame. Since i have went down hill. Mostly weakness in shoulders, neck, muscle weakness.

Also lost my since of smell after a cold which is common.

I did have a tick on me after a trip to N.Y. Think i got it off my dog. But no rash nothing.
Did have a cold tho a few weeks later. Just attributed it to the air in the car being so cold to keep dog cool LOL. Shes spoilled.

But then the last three weeks i cant walk or stand at all with out the sever weakness and muscle stuff which goes up my head. Sometimes heart races and i feel like my brain is shutting down. Sounds wierd i know cant discrib it.
Anyway i went to Gp and he thinks lyme put me on Ceftin generic and right away i had symptoms.
Neck pain, headache, tingling, facial ticks. Extream fatique worse than i already had.
Doc thinks lyme and wanted to do a wb the elisa came back negative (of coarse).

Blood work seemed normal he said just enlarged red blood cells.

Long story short wondering if the WB would even be worth doing? Wondering if i do have lyme again or if the B12 could do this. But if its just B12 why now is it down? and why the reaction to the abx?

Thanks for listening guys just pondering all this stuff. Guess i will find out monday when i go to lyme Doc

How low is your B-12?
Those enlarged red blood cells do not fit througgh your capillaries, are you aware of that?

Do they form coin roll formations? those sure do not fit through either.

Not sure they havent done a b12 test yet just two docs said my red blood cells are enlarged. I have no clue the why or what its doing to me. Neither has said much. The second wants me to have a b12 test. Someone said like lyme it has to be very very low to show. Sooooo i have no idea what to do. Maybe the lyme doc will tell me something tommarrow

I would go by your symptoms! The tests don't know how you feel, only you do.
