November/December I had rib, abdominal and pelvic pain. Tests could find nothing wrong. Naturapathic work eased the pain.
Now taking 1000mg biaxen. Starting Saturday I have such sever burning pain in hips pelvis abdomen and now spin up to middle shoulder blades. Worse than November/December
Sitting, bending, dressing is so painful. I don't see how it could be an infection with all the antibiotics.
Could this be as a result of killing off lyme?
thanks maps

Neuropathy, or nerve damage, can cause burning pain.
It may be due to demylinization of the nerves by the Lyme bacteria, or vitamin deficiencies, or neurotoxins left by the dead Lyme bacteria.
If it's neurotoxins, you can help your liver detoxify them by taking supplements that help it to make glutathione.
One member here, charlie, told me that taking cholestyramine (to absorb neurotoxins excreted in the bile) reduced the burning pain in his feet.
I had numbness and tingling that were reduced by taking sublingual B12 and B complex.
Perhaps your liver is overloaded by trying to detoxify the neurotoxins left by the dead Lyme bacteria.
To help supply the things it needs to make glutathione, take Magnesium Fish oil CoEnzyme Q10 N-acetyl cysteine Acetyl L-carnitine Alpha Lipoic acid
So yes, this may be a result of killing off Lyme bacteria.
You can slow down your treatment (stop the antbiotics for a couple days) or take supplements to increase the liver's supply of glutathione.

Tell us your medication history. When did you start taking the biaxin, for example? Other meds?
This way, we can help you figure out if it is a herx, a side effect of the medication, or nerve pain.

if youve read my other post you know that I get body wide skin burning pain. my dr says its toxins. The supplements listed above will help a lot. I also do a ton of lemon and/or lime water. It helps too. Giving your body a rest on treatment will also help you a little.
