I asked this question in another thread that was not started by me which probably didn't belong there. Decided to start my own thread and ask the question here.

If I were to go to my GP and tell him I want to be tested for co- infections, what exactly would I tell him what I want to be tested for?

My LLMD never tested me for co-infections because he assumed I have some of them. I don't want to assume anything, I prefer knowing what I have.

Please explain to me exactly what to tell my GP so I can ask him to do this. I'm going to a MD who practices alternative medicine, so I'm sure he will be open to this. I just need to tell him what I need to be tested for.

If it were me, I would ask to be tested for Bartonella (or Bartonella-Like Organisms) from Fry Labs.

I would also asked to be tested for Babesia, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis by Igenex.

If you would like to be tested for parasites too, I suggest you ask to be tested by Diagnos-Techs (the full GI Panel). I was surprised by my results with this test. Although I was negative with respect to parasites I was sensitive to soy, milk and highy sensitive to gluten.

Fry, Igenex and Diagnos-Techs all have websites if you want to investigate them further.

Leelee, thanks for the information-very helpful. I will go to the websites you mentioned and get all the information I can to give to the doctor when I see him.

I've heard that Fry is better for co-infections. I thought they were best for babesia and bartonella, but I could be wrong.
