Did anyone watch him? He is so much better than he was. He walked out on stage, He talked, He kept a good eye movement, not wondering as bad, and he just looked so much better out of that wheelchair. I am so happy for him.

- Yes, I was very happy to see him and his apparent level of health. I'm sure he planned all week how to pull that off. What class. What a good guy. While even wondering about this feels like I'm invading his privacy, I do wonder what he's doing that makes the difference (or if it was mostly just very careful planning).
And, hey, Neil Patrick Harris looked pretty good - I'm not a guy but was was envious of his strong legs and good balance, dancing all around without having to hold onto a wall or a chair. Health sure looks good. I would take any pair of strong, lean legs to carry me through these days.
I was also glad that that the overall presentation was not too much of a sensory blast as many award shows are. Sarah McLachlan's "Memory" was absolutely stunning. -

He goes to great lengths taking various medications just moments prior to shows like that, in order to appear as functional as possible. It's important to know this because it can be deceiving that he appears so much better sometimes.
I read one of his books. He's written a few. He's constantly striving for better treatments, especially symptomatic therapies.

He is such a wonderful person. I saw him on Oprah the other day (it might have been a repeat, IDK) and I was just so impressed with his bravery. It was really inspiring.
It is true, he has to plan very hard in advance to be able to do appearances like this. He has to take a lot of medicine to appear "better" and more "functional". Did anyone see that Oprah and the girl with HORRIBLE Dystonia? She couldn't even walk through doorways because her body pulled her head and neck to the side...she literally walked sideways. It looked SO painful and like PURE TORMENT.
What people go through....God bless the human spirit.

Emmy is not my cup of tea...
I am really glad to hear that we believe that his better appearance is an exception that requires him to prepare hard instead of his default performance. And I hope this belief goes beyond this community and more people realize that any chronic illness is very painful to go through.
Isn't it true that many times Rush Limbaugh accused Michael to intentionally "act a lot worse" than he really is in the past? what is he gonna say this time? "Oh now see what I meant? He is fine..."
