I would like to know if anyone has had success (or not) with IV Doxy. I believe this would help my RMSF. My Dr. doesn't want to give it to me. He will prescribe Rocephin.

Thanks!

We were told IV doxy is hard to come by since most of it was being used by the military but that was about 6 months ago.

We used IV zith for about 4 weeks because of an allergy to Rocephin and it did help get over the hump. Still on orals.

HI Kimp,

Do you know the dosage of the IV Zith?

I have used IV Doxy, and it didn't seem to help me much. I don't think that I have RMSF though (as far as I know).

My LLMD says that Doxy can be too much for patients with multiple coinfections (I also have Bart and babesia)...and I *think* that's because it kills so much at once, and it becomes counterproductive.

It might help someone with RMSF though, so you might not be able to tell much from my experience.

IV doxy has done wonders for me.

It was very, very hard for first two months because it felt like it hit me straight into the brain.
I was constantly dizzy for first five weeks without single good day,but than one morning dizzines was just gone.

I still have patches of bad neuro symptoms, but I think Doxy is working well for me so far.

I was on IV doxy for a long time because I had a reaction to rocephin. I found that this really helped me and got me on the path to recovery.

So far, very high doses of Amoxicillin have helped, and also, Bicillin now seems to be helping.

I think so far those are the best for my Lyme.

Bactrim DS has been very helpful with my brain symptoms and cognition. But I did test positive for Bartonella, so it seems to be classic Bart and not "BLO."

Also, I was in a much worse place when I was on IV Doxy. I had never treated any of my coinfections yet, because I didn't know I had them, and everything made me super ill that I took. I was so sick during that time, and probably very toxic.
