I am doing this alone. I have found many places where you can find a zillion abx online. That's my only choice.

I have Lyme and Bart but that's all that I have been tested for. I have no insurance. What abx are heavy hitters and is there anything that can NOT be mixed? I'm also considering Salt/C in addition to exercise.

But what I really need to know, what things to order. Lyme and Bart....and who knows what else. I don't think I have Babs, relating to my sx. Doxy? Zith? I mean the list goes on and on. I really need help here, more than ever before.

Thanks to ANYONE that will help me. My life is in painful shambles.

Please help! UP. I have to do this and do it soon. I am trying to get my ex to pay for this as my alimony ends in a few months. How am I going to support my child? I'm scared. What cured you? What's the big guns? I.V. is out of the question.

My ex husband is calling at 8pm EST. I want to talk to him about helping me pay for this. Mr. $100,000 year job. Greedy (you know what)

Any help would be appreciated and I would be forever indebted to you.

BD, I've ordered abx online before without too much difficulty. Just make sure your online pharmacies are reasonably safe (you can't always tell at first). I've used one that issues the meds through US pharmacies, which makes the transaction somewhat safer.

Stick to the tried and true. Lyme: Biaxin, Doxy, Ceftin, Amoxy (except higher required doses may make it expensive online), etc. Bartonella: Rifampin, Levaquin for starters...

If you're on your own, you'll have to do your homework and be especially cognizant of sides...

Good luck...

Here's a good site for checking interactions between drugs, it's simple and you don't have to register or anything.

Here is one plan for example:

Bicillin 1.5 every 3d day 1.2miu BP
Penicillin VK every 4h ??g every 4h
Probenecid every 6h 500mg

Roxithromycine twice per day 300 mg
Bactrim twice per day 160mg/800mg
Rifampine twice per day 600 mg

Flagyl twice per day pulse 750 mg

Flagyl pulsed for 5 days once a month. Total cost is $400-$500 /month if paid entirely out of pocket. I would start with roxy and bactrim, then add rifampine ,and after that penicillin stack

Obviously you have to start 1 drug at a time and check for negative reactions. Neccessary to take probiotics. And I think synergistic supplements are good

I would add a course of cycloferon (immunomodulator) on month 2 .

what to buy ?

A pretty new outfit, a delicious Greek lunch, a movie ticket and a then a massage.

==========

Sorry, I think I've just overdosed on the enormity of what we all face. I hope your former husband is more open to this than mine was - and rather than have to rush to find articles and whatever to convince, him, I think it best that you NOT get into specifics.

It will overwhelm him and make him question each line item.

By giving him this and that article it also implies you require his permission. Never a good call in any relationship. You and your doctor are the experts here. Bringing in someone who does not understand the complexity of it is like giving them the medical degree over all this.

You can say that you are considering the various treatment options but that a certain amount would be helpful and appreciated. You will discuss the specifics with your doctor but they will be rotating as time moves along.

If your former husband can help, I highly recommend getting a good LLMD. Believe me, I've been trying to treat myself on a shoestring for years. I do not have the energy to study all I need and I am too close to be able to distinguish stuff.

I good doctor would be a very wise investment.

If he could be so kind, one of the best things would be to have a FAR INFRARED sauna.

Just be honest. Give him the link to UNDER OUR SKIN. Say you really need some help and hope he is in both the financial and emotional position to kindly extend help.

Good luck.

What I was hoping is that your former husband would help you get a doctor. If he is helping you with treatment, a doctor would be great. I've never had a LLMD - for more than one or two consults, also due to funds. I know you don't have one either.

I was just hoping that you could ask for help to get one. With his salary, it sounds like it might be manageable for him.

You mentioned Salt/C. Personally, that will make it sound like this is so simple. And while SEA salt, in just the right amount, can be good even for patients with certain kinds of heart disease . . . you need to be checked first and then have frequent monitoring by an MD when doing this.

I would certainly not make a decision about this by 8 pm tonight.

Assuming you've checked with your doctor and have had a basic cardiac and blood pressure check and kidney function test - and that you don't have diabetes . . . here's another checklist and things to consider about the salt plan:

My symptoms are face burning that makes me want to kill myself. Sometimes it goes into my temple, above my eye, in my eye, and of course, where it started, my left cheek. My eye looks very different (smaller), I don't think it's Bell's.

Burning skin on my neck and foot.

Occasional headaches.

Fatigue (not that big of a big deal compared to the others)

Depression from BEING SICK AND NOT LIVING MY LIFE. I'm only 28. Got sick when I was 26.

Twitching. Body jolts.

NO SLEEP.

Wake up BURNING but hardly any sweat.

Personality change.

No anxiety.

It could go on and on....

Hair loss.

Screwed up periods.

TIGHT neck muscles, it's not stress.

ETC ETC ETC

If your former husband were to be able to help you get treatment with a LLMD, it could be tax deductible for him. So, too would all the supplements IF the LLMD said you required them. But if you buy them on your own without a prescription they are not.

Anyone else? Does anyone have any online pharms that don't need an rx? And what exactly should I buy? I've seen Doxy, Amoxy, and Zith. Do those work well together? Or should I look for others? There's a lot of differing opinions. Is there one that's better than the other?

BD,

Doesn't he think his child should have a healthy mother? Even if he doesn't care about you, doesn't he care about his son???

Wouldn't it be better for him if you were healthy so you could care for the child?

Try to spin the argument for monetary help for your health so that it seems to benefit HIIM! Try to explain how it's in HIS BEST INTEREST and your child for you to be healthy.

The best way to deal with self-centered people like that is to appeal to how they will profit. They seem to have no compassion for others.

I do not understand people like your ex. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

I wish you luck.

James

BD,

Here is a less aggressive abx protocol than the other suggestion.

My brother's LLMD had him on Doxy for 18 months and then added flagyl. That LLMD explained that Doxy is relatively safe with few side-effects. It's also generic.

My brother went from near complete debilitation to now 90% back to normal in 2 years. Some may suggest more aggressive abx, but what good is it if you have to go off because of problems? If you have a bad reaction it can set back the program months.

My LLMD put me on Omnicef (also generic). But because I also have babs I take a slew of others. After a year Tindamax (cyst buster) was added.

These are 2 protocols from 2 well known, experienced LLMDs who get results and know the risks of over aggressive tx. (My LLMD is in UOS).

Ultimately you will have to decided how aggressive you want to be vs how much risk you want to take.

I hope you can get somewhere with your ex for some financial support! What a jerk!

James

Thanks EVERYONE for sympathizing with me. I've argued with him with the "doesn't my son deserve healthy mama?" He just doesn't say anything. And to boot, he cut off my insurance early. I found this out 2 days ago.

My life is a living nightmare. I can not tell you how much I envy most ppl on here who have an llmd on their side. I can barely pay my bills (I don't get much from child support and alimony, which ends very shortly (alimony). Once that child support ends, I have no idea what to do after that?

I'm angry because this man makes 6 digits a year. Could he not spare a little to help me get better? I've got 4 months to make some improvement. But if I can't work, what happens to my little one? I'm sure my ex would LOVE that because I won the major majority of custody. He wouldn't have to pay any support whatsoever.

I am going to call him today and beg and plead my situation. I'm really scared because my left eye is very small in appearance, hard to explain, but is painful from behind my eye ball. I don't think it's Bell's, so what is it? I think I have that trigemental (spelling). My face burns plus electric shock all around that nerve that is in my face. I worry about having a tumor pushing on that nerve. I feel like a cyclops. My left eye is sooo much. Maybe I will take a picture of just my eyes so that you can see. My mom says she can't tell but when I went to a few doctors, they noticed right away.

I feel ashamed, I wear sunglasses, hats, and tend to look down when ppl talk to me. I'm so ashamed.

Anyway, back to the subject, SOMETHING has to happen, because I think I will take my own life because as it is, I can't take it any more. It's pretty sad and lame that someone looks around DREAMING about how they can kill themselves.

And it's not because I'm "depressed", I want out of the pain. I've sit here like a sitting duck since September 2008. That's over a year and the Lyme has PROGRESSED SO MUCH.

Does anyone know what company will sell me abx without an rx? And any definitive guidance would help, but I know there is no magic bullet, but success stories telling me what they used to get better would help. Some of the explanations were kind of confusing, dosages and times like qid...what does that mean? 4 times a day?

Anyway please help me, I don't think I can do this much longer. I am afraid I will be dead before Christmas because I can't take the agony any more. I'm so tired of being the "downer" of the family. I've pretty much lost support because the situation is "old".

And yes, I know the suicide line phone number, but they can't fix my Lyme. They don't understand Lyme and quite frankly it would pi$$ me off because they don't understand my plight.

Any other help? Sorry to bother you all. [Frown] And thanks for EVERYTHING so far.

And James, can you share what your brother's symptoms were/are? I always wonder if the different the symptoms, the different protocol. That's just my speculation and I could be wrong. Care to share? That is, if you look at this again.....

Thank You.

Beautiful many here take cats claw, colloidal silver and coconut oil, vitamin C. in addition to

the antibiotics. They all caused me to herx and are options till you can get approved for SS and

a medical card. The cats claw and coconut oil are very powerful to lyme so start very low and slow

if you try them. I used the CS with OJ and salt for 5 mths before I got tested by Igenex for my

so called depression and vitamin D deficiency. I told my LLMD I had tried the Cats Claw and it

sent me to bed. I did not know it was so powerful to us lymies and took a full dose. He said it has

its place. Then I read many empty out capsules to just a bit and start that way. Just a couple of

options. I would be happy to send you some if you send me your email pm.

BD,

I get really angry about what you're going through. Your ex is a piece of work!

My brother's lyme didn't go neuro. He had hip and back pain so bad that not even methadone could help. He had such profound fatigue that riding in a car was too exhausting. He was losing weight even though he was eating 3000 calories a day and doing no exercise. GI problems. Depression. Rage.

My friend, who is your age, has neuro problems. She has body jerks, seizures, depression, fatigue, bi-polar-like mood changes, facial pains (that went away), and many more. She's had lyme for 12 years but was only dx a year ago.

She sees my LLMD and he put her on IV abx. I know that's not an option for you.

I think you are right, the severity of he sx does dictate the tx protocol. But that is not to say that only the most aggressive tx will work.

I'm sorry I don't have a way for you to get abx w/o a prescription.

Your ex is an ***.

I sent you a pharmacy MedsMex.com

I have ordered from them without issue.

I might want to make make sure you cover yourself with an
anti Fungal and Anti Viral and anti bacterial and anti protozoans.?

If you do not have all the tests to show what you have then you are kinda guessing but most people have at least one of each.

Pinelady has some good suggestions and there are many natural things that can be just as powerful as abx.

Salt C protocol also can really clear out a lot of stuff and help quite a bit with all infections.

Gosh.. its all so hard. There are a lot of remediea and protocols and.. the best thing would be to get your x to help pay for at least seeing a doctor.

Though I do not think self-treating without a doctor is a good idea because you can't have the blood tests to see if your liver, etc. is holding up, I will say, Levaquin/Biaxin is a good combo for Bart and Lyme. I would do it first, then after the bart seems to be gone (three months for me), I would challenge it for a few weeks on Rifampin.

At the first sign of tendon pain, one must stop Levaquin immediately.

For herbal protocols - I like Buhner. I would highly recommend reading Healing Lyme and trying some of those protocols. The basic core protocol is - andrographis, resveratrol, samento/cat's claw, and banderol. Don't underestimate the power of his protocol. I think it's lacking for coinfections. My LLMD had me on Buhner + Malarone for babesia.

Also, tonic water helped me with babesia symptoms.

Again, I understand your situation, but I still would be very hesitant to self-treat. If you could at least get a doctor to run a blood test every month while you self treat, it would be safer.

I would also recommend reading Dr. B's guidelines at www.ilads.org. He goes over it all there.

In addition, exercise is critical. Keep moving.

Detox can be as important as killing bugs.

sounds like my sister's ex, he's making about 200K a year and she's working 10-12 hours a day just to get by. his attitude "hey, you divorced me, so big deal."

don't look for one ounce of anything there.

It probably depends on the laws of your state, and of course how long your were married. In Miss, if you are married 7 years, you can file for alimony.

A friend of mine had her ex forced to pay for her health insurance and alimony. He paid it for years until she remarried.

You have probably already looked into this, but just thought I would mention it. You can legally ask for what you need or want from him and see where that gets you. If you have a chronic illness, a judge might force him to at least continue to pay for your health insurance.
