I'd like to post some recent (first time test) Igenex blood test numbers for a close friend. He is 80 years old, and has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease for about 10 years. (very weak, tremor, gait & balance problems) Any input would be valued.
Whole blood, Genomic and Plasmid: Neg.
IFA, G/M/A: <1:40 Titer
IgM: 39 IND, 41++, 66+, 83-93 IND
IgG: 41+
All other bands negative.

Everyone here will surely say positive for Lyme. How much you want to wager?
Next they'll say treat it with trial meds and see what happens. Not a glaring positive at all to me, but I guess what's to lose?
Lastly, Dr. C's WB info will be posted.
Did he ever get tested at a non-Igenex lab? If so, any bands?

Well, for an 80-yo immune system, I'll say generating antibodies like that is somethin'.

My dad's 80. I can't imagine him starting a lyme protocol. He'd laugh at me
But if someone is suffering, why not give all options a fair trial...

It's not a test result I would ignore!! Esp with an 80yr old who as someone said would be less likely to muster his antibodies.
and IND as you know is a weak positive.... and then there's this....
39: Unknown what this antigen is, but based on research at the National Institute of Health (NIH), other Borrelia (such as Borrelia recurrentis that causes relapsing fever), do not even have the genetics to code for the 39 kDa antigen, much less produce it. It is the most specific antibody for borreliosis of all.
83: This is the DNA or genetic material of Borrelia burgdorferi. It is the same thing as the 93, based upon the medical literature. But laboratories vary in assigning significance to the 83 versus the 93.

Then there's the other bands!
Treating an 80 yr old could be very rough. I hope not. My father had Parkinson's and Lyme... we did not know he had Lyme.

I think the IND on 39 is significant. My LLMD treated my daughter with a similar test. He confirmed the diagnosis when she reacted to the meds (improvement and regular herxes).

Nice of you to follow the friend with his test results.
May I suggest a side note of sorts?
IV push Glutathione.
It is often used for Parkinson's by those in the know... with good results.
It also helps with toxins from the Lyme die-off (caused by natural die-off or antibiotic killing).
I am NOT a doctor... but I've been considering this situation in others who are weakened and who are grand in age....
And if this were MY family member.. and they would actually LISTEN to me...
I would suggest they do the IV Glutathione push regularly... and LOW LOW doses of antibiotics (ONE at a time).
I've seen frail folks, including myself at times, hit the keets too hard and it cause a horrible situation.
We don't want that or need it.
Sooooooooooooo....
That is my suggestion for your friend... with a doctors approval only, of course.
May he feel better soon.

I don't think 80 is give up time.
I knew a man when I was 30 he was 75-
He left my 3 sisters and I in his tracks. We
hiked down to Yahoo Falls in E KY. and he waited
on us at the top. LOL If he were my dad I would
want to see him do at least 800 of vitamin E a
day. Nystatin 4 a day for 2 weeks. Then the IV
Glutathione with the latest antibiotics of choice
like Tincup suggested. But a LLMD may have other
suggestions depending on his current treatments.

Parkinson's can be just that....Parkinson's.
However, a friend of mine was very ill for 18 years. He was eventually diagnosed with Parkinson's at two major medical universities (he was in his 40s). He did not have Parkinsons he had a HHV-6 infection. He is now well after antiviral treatment. www.hhv-6foundation.org
I would think your friend does not have lyme based on those test results.

Lymetoo is right Timaca bases their facts on one
Dr. F at Columbia who throws out IND's on
WBlots when all the other LLMD's now believe it
is the test that is so bad not the
interpretation. Dr. B and Dr. C as well as
others say if even one Lyme Specific band is
present you may very well have Lyme. That does
not mean you don't have everything else that is
known to be associated with Lyme. Meaning just
about everything on this earth.

Extreme fatigue, weakness in grip, memory loss, lack of balance, very soft voice, all come to mind. That's all classic Parkinson's.
