i have three, what i call, skin tags. not moles just pieces of skin. they're under the bra line and get really irritated.
can i have these removed and by whom? would they come back? or they part of lyme or can they be from anything?

As far as I know they're just warts. My GP has frozen them with liquid nitrogen and then they drop off. They would probably respond to most wart treatments.

Yes! I've had them removed twice. The first dermatologist snipped them off and some grew back.
My new dermatologist froze them and they fell off and never came back. It's fairly painless.
They just die (look like scabs) and fall off in about a week.
If I remember correctly it was approximately a hundred dollars to freeze seven skin tags.
Warts are viral. Skin tags are an over growth of cells.

I've had several skin tags and moles removed. I went to a plastic surgeon twice.
Dermatologist might be cheaper.

Yes to those above.
Oddly, skin tags often occur during pregnancy too.
There is also a connection with diabetes and obesity and skin tags.
"Skin tags group showed significantly higher levels of total cholesterol and LDL, when compared with the healthy controls groups."

I've had a few snipped off from the dermatologist. They didn't grow back.
My doc says that is one of the signs of Bartonella.

I had mine cut off my neck area by a dermatologist and they did grow back but the ones on my bra line have not grown back....those were so painful.
I currently have many that popped up over the past year that are along both collarbones. This is where MOST of my lyme pain has been. Doc thinks its Bartonella.
Since I started a new combo 2 weeks ago (Flagyl and Levaquin) I have noticed the larger ones on my collarbone are very itchy and sore and feel like they are going to fall off.
I also noticed that the 2 very tiny ones near the corner of my right eye have almost totally disappeared.
I think either the flagyl or levaquin is helping. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Interesting about Bartonella....
FWIW, my GP told me that skin tags, and even growth of certain types of moles, are a sign of 'insulin resistance', similar to what Marnie was saying.
This was also mentioned in "The Potbelly Syndrome" that I finished reading recently.

Tracy, thanks for the mention of that book. Going to look into it as both my parents take meds for Type II that they developed later in life and both have a pot belly.

Gert, the author's theories in the book are somewhat unconventional, but I think he's definitely on the right track. I think anyone who has 'multiple infections' will appreciate learning some of the effects these -and other stressors - have on our bodies over time.

hahaha Actually years ago I had 3 on my kneck I was drinking beer one night and got sick of them and a pare of sissors and rubbing alchol & peroxide I pulled them up a little and snipped them hahahaha
ps I never had these until after I was bitten by a water bug?

Not recommending this but my sister has tied them off with string(not sure what type of string).
Also not sure how long she leaves the string on but I guess they fall off after a while.

I have also heard of covering one with a piece of duct tape. Cuts the air off from it in the same way the string does.
The tag dies and comes off with the duct tape when you remove it. Not sure how long it takes, but at least a week I think.
