I had lots of GI issues. All kinds of tests and different meds tried. What finally turned things around for me was eliminating sugar and wheat and most dairy from my diet. I know most llmds recommend a big diet change and for me they were right. Have you tried eliminating things like sugar?

Mark, you said you eliminated most dairy. Did you eliminate yogurt too? What dairy did you not eliminate?

What were your GI issues? Did you have IBS?

Gary,

I had frequent abdominal pain, nausea, and loose stools.

I had my gallbladder out after a hida scan showed 5% functionality. That was before I knew I had Lyme. The surgery didnt help and made the loose stools worse. I was diagnosed with IBS when nothing else obvious showed up and the GB surgery didn't help.

It tooks 2 months on the new diet but now I rarely have pain and stools are normal.

For yogurt I buy it made with goats milk. My one cheat is about once every 2 weeks or so I do have a little cheese.

Shelly,

It couldn't hurt to eat as clean as possible for a month or two and increase fiber and probiotics while doing so and see what happens while you wait for your appointment. I think you are doing the right thing by getting it checked out and ruling out something like cancer or finding it early. They did several tests for me and the only thing showing abnormal was the gallbladder. Good luck!!
