How can you tell the difference between a HERX and lyme symptoms?
I have never been tested for co-infections, but thought I had all the symptoms of bart, but LLMD says it is just symptoms of HERX. Can a HERX last a month?
So far, I have only done monotherapy. I asked LLMD to add other meds. He is prescribing Augmentin and will add flagyl in 2 weeks. He said he will address co-infections later.

A herx can last as long as you are taking abx.
The only way to tell if it's Lyme or a herx is to stop the meds for a day or two. If you feel better, it's a herx.
Do this with the permission of your LLMD.

Well, it may not be official, but I felt like I was in a constant herx for the first 2 yrs... esp the first year. It was non-stop.
