I hope someone has an idea what this is. Here's the story. I've been off abx for 2 months and just been doing some OLE, a little VCO and had just started oil of oregano.

I think I upped the dose on the oregano oil too fast. Anyway, I was only on it a few days when I started feeling really really bad. Haven't felt like this in a long time.

I don't know if it's a herx or what but I don't want to find out again. LOL I noticed last night after I got out of the jacuzzi that I had these marks on me. Bart was the first thing I thought of. I sure hope it isn't that. Any ideas??

Thanks WC for the info on how to post pics.

First .. I don't know much about bart... but that looks like other pics I've seen.

I hope not!!! Are you feeling pretty good???

Thanks Tutu!! I hope not too. It does look like some I've looked at. I had been doing pretty good since off abx till this week.

It's been a heck of a week. So bad that I could barely do anything. Lots of neuro stuff along with upset stomach which I very seldom ever have.

Lots of pain, mostly the muscle in my left arm and some joint pain. I'm so stiff I can barely walk after I've been sitting down very long. It's so embarrassing.

Anyone know if oil of oregano kills lyme or co's? I was using it for parasites and it works. LOL Now I'm wondering if it stirred up something else.

I'm so frustrated at the moment. It's so hard to go from feeling like living again to wishing you could just disappear. I've been sick 20 years and treating for 5 and I'm sick of being sick.

Anyone else have an opinion on what it is??

Hey sapphire....

I just posted some information on this site.

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/88457

Looking at yours though, it is a bit different from what I can tell.

Tutu could be right. Because of the location especially ... and the spots close together in a line ... it could be a Bartonella related "thing".

I am NOT saying it is or isn't... just sharing thoughts.

And I am assuming it isn't itchy. Right?

No, not itchy or anything. Thanks TC, I will look up the site you posted.

I looked it up and I think mine may be different from that. It's hard to tell really. Thanks TC, I appreciate the help.

Thanks Chuck, looks very similar doesn't it? I wish I could say it didn't.

I don't understand why I'm just now getting this if it is bart. I don't remember ever having anything like this before. I didn't think I had bart.

Would it be worth getting tested or should I just treat? Any opinions??

The oil of oregano may help Lyme.. but it for sure treats YEAST. And.. the oil of oreg could be what is causing your stomach upset. I couldn't tolerate it with my acid reflux.

Then again... the stomach upset could be from yeast die-off.

I don't think I can advise on bart. Thankfully didn't have that one!!

Thanks Tutu for your insight. I didn't know oregano oil treated yeast. I don't think it's what caused the stomach problem because I didn't get it till I stopped taking it.

It's very odd for me to have an upset stomach. I've always said I have a cast iron stomach. LOL

OK, I need some opinions here. This is driving me crazy trying to figure out what to do.

The rash is almost gone so if it were from bart would it go away this fast?

Here I am thinking I'm doing so good and then to have such a bad week and then this stupid rash. I've been crying all morning and I don't usually cry. It's just from not knowing what to do now.

I'm thinking maybe try rife after tutu mentioned it. I could also go back on the bicillin shots which I felt good on but know that doesn't kill bart. So could I do the shots and rife or should I just rife?

Any insight would be so appreciated.

sapphire, it looks like my bart rashes, which come and go. But more often than not they appear on my lower legs.

Now, my rash itches. You said yours is not? After the raised rash is gone then I have more petichea under the skin in that location.

I've never tested positive for bart, but I have no doubt that I have it.

I see you are from KY also. So you might compare your sx with bart.

Thanks Pam, what are your bart sx? I have a few of them but it's hard to distinguish what sx is from what.

My rash wasn't raised at all. It was more like a bruise under the skin. Actually, more like a hickey as Laura described hers. I wouldn't have even known it was there had I not seen it.

Sapphire,

I disagree, it doesn't look like a bart rash to me. It looks like petichiae to me, broken capillaries under the skin, not caused by bart. It can be caused by a lot of things, most which are benign.

Here's what a quick Google turned up:

I agree mine did look like this but it was in streaks. Like 3 in a row. It's almost gone now.

Wow, from the leukemia sx list there I could have that. [Smile]

I do think since I've been feeling so bad that I will go see my dr and take the pic and see what she thinks. Probably a useless trip but it would make hubby feel better. I need some blood work done anyway.

I appreciate your input James. It may just remain a mystery. LOL

Sx that I'm sure are bart. IBS, pain in feet esp. upon walking on floor in am. Pain in shin bone, long bones in arms & legs.

Skin irritations & rashes coming and going and then traveling around the body.

Pam

Thanks Pam, I have IBS also. I also have trouble walking in the am. At times my feet hurt but moreso here lately it just hurts from my hips down to my feet to walk in the am or if I've been sitting for a while.

Recently,I was having really bad what I called hot flashes. I'm not in menopause even though I could be. I just felt like I was burning up on the inside. Not sure what that's from.

Lots of tingling in my feet. Headaches all the time even when I wake up. Could be from my neck as I had surgery in 2003 and I'm having neck pain, too.

I've never had a rash that I can remember till this one. I woke up this morning with a new one on my upper thigh. It's in 2 lines but only about an inch long.

I don't know what's going on, just trying to piece it together. If that's even possible.

IBS can also be from Lyme, along with GERD. Hip/back pain are signature sx of lyme which attacks connective tissues.

That doesn't mean you don't have bart, but it means that you can have those sx without it. The sx overlap sometimes.

I have a rash that looks very much like that. It came about six or so weeks after stopping abx. I'm going to discuss it with LLMD next week. Tom

Posted by sapphire101 (Member # 6638) on :

Tom, how long did it last? I would be interested in knowing what the LLMD says about it.

I stopped abx about 2 months ago.

Sapphire

Oh, it hasn't gone away. Went to derm. They checked for fungal/other. Said it may be exczema(sp?)? We'll see. I suspect it could be tick related. I stopped abx in May. This started in the summer and won't go away. In fact, may be spreading slowly.
