the pain away but makes it bearable.

I had head pressure and headaches for years.
I was able to reduce it by taking systemic enzymes.
quote: Use of Enzymes in Painful Conditions
Proteolytic enzymes are able to block the release of pain producing amines from tissues that have inflammation. This elimination of pain benefits many conditions.
The disability of migraine headaches can usually be helped by enzyme therapy. Sinus headaches can be alleviated by enzymes, which decrease and liquefy secretions that contribute to the pain.

Carol,
What brand of systemic enzymes do you take?

Very interested in this thread also, this crushing pressure (along with dizziness) was my first and continues to be my most debilitating symptom.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!

I have head pressure too and can even see swelling above my temples. Sometimes it feels like a rubberband from a pony tail is in my hair too long(even though my hair is down). Have also had drainage and plugged ears.
Someone recommended guaifenesin, which is sold as Mucinex (600mg). I take one every 12 hours, and it has helped alot.

I do get increased intracranial pressure. The pain/pressure is on the top/above my eyes. I take Diamox - 1/2 pill in the AM & 1/2 pill at bedtime.

Are these enzymes OTC or do you need a script?
And you say they help with migraines? My SIL has had a constant migraine for over a year, and nothing has broken it. Maybe I'll recommend that to her.

I've been buying Wobenzym from VitaminShoppe.com .
Within two weeks, I no longer woke up every day with a splitting headache.
Systemic enzymes reduce fibrin in the blood, so that it flows more easily. More oxygen can get to the brain cells. They reduce inflammation, which eases pain.
Doctors in Europe use systemic enzymes to treat arthritis.
