Through my previous treatment I never experienced major herxes. My symptoms were so bad already that the only thing I noticed was increased fatigue.
Now, I just started my doxy yesterday. It is at a very low dose too. I am only taking 100mg twice a day. Then on Thursday I bump it up to 200mg twice a day.
Within the next few days I will add the Rifampin.
So, I have only been at this small dose for 2 days.
I feel so hot tonight. No fever. Just feel like a furnace on the inside.
I have been dealing with this headache now for 2 weeks along with some minor neck pain.
Tonight the headache has increased along with pain down the right side of my ncek and the darn stabbing pains in back of head. Even my teeth on the right side hurt.
I know I have been dealing with Lyme for years and I don't mean to sound ignorant but is this what a herx is?
It is amplified from what it was a few days ago.

kitkat32....i thought your post, was my post, cause couple days ago i was also put on doxy, 100mg twice a day, for 1 month, she did not gave me anything else can i hav some of your Rifampin.

Thanks everyone. Oh my goodness does my head hurt!
I thought it was bad last week. This is just awful.
My whole head/face is pounding. Back of head is tender to touch. Even my temples are pounding.
