Yeah tons about babesia, lyme and bartonella but this is one nasty bird and I rarely see anyone discussing it...thoughts? I even have high titers for this fun bug.

I wonder that too.. My most recent IGENEX testing 3 months ago showed it as positive. But it do es not seem to get talked about much does it?

I've wondered that too - and just thought maybe it's easier to eradicate?
It was my first TBD to turn negative, so it seemed easier to beat.
Another one I never see discussed is Colorado Tick Fever - that one sure caused me a ton of misery - and apparently it can go chronic too.

Yeah, Ehrl was the ONE test that came back flaming positive for me; everything else has been either negative or indeterminate.
I honestly haven't done much research on it either, maybe I should.
My LLMD said he thought it was fairly easy to beat with Doxy and Rifampin.

I have it. Don't think it's discussed much because it is treated with same drugs as Borellia. Whereas some coinfections use levaquin, revamp, etc

I read that it is wiped out with doxy, which is why you usually use doxy first for lyme, to take care of the ehrl in case you have it. I did not know it could be chronic.

Until recently (past 4-5 yrs), drs did not know it could go chronic .. and you are right about the doxy, nefferdun.

I'd like to know more about this too. It was the only co-infection I had that came back positive but that test was done after I'd been on Doxy for one month already. I've wondered if its so easy to get with Doxy, why it would show positive after a month of treatment.

my experience is that if i am on flagyl, tindimax, doxy/mino and then I test I get postive results. If I stopped treating wait a few weeks then test I get negative results. My theory is that the drug brings out the lyme and co's and they are trying to fight back so they are out in the open. When there are no drugs they are all being low key hidden away slowly taking over. Because the speciman of blood we draw is so small it's just a random chance you'll get a positive.
I too have Erchilcia. I tested positive for babs and erchilia first time around and not lyme. However, erchilcia was my first co to go negative and hasn't become positive since I started treating 5 years ago.

Here is something interesting about Ehrlichia. I was tested for that, another similar tick disease, Lyme and RMSF. All came back positive on the second titer, but the Ehrlichia and the other similar one (cannot think of the name! Began with an H), went from just barely negative to just barely positive 3 weeks later. However, the RMSF (and the Lyme) both changed dramatically over 3 weeks (mine was an early known infection, so titers started out negative as antibodies had not had time yet to develop at first blood draw).
My ID said that the Lyme, and the RMSF were positive for sure, but felt that the Ehrlichia and the other one reacted slightly since they are a similar organism to the RMSF.
Thank goodness....I would hate to think that I had all 4 of the dumb things!
Just passing that along....no reason, except that it is interesting!
