OK all you experts out there! This is weird and hard to describe. My daughter said it feels like her scalp is wet and maybe a little oozy.

She has always had a dry scalp and problem dandruff so I don't know if this is the problem.

I tried to look at it tonight..I don't see anything but I do see a little wetness on the hairs close to her scalp. But nothing else.

The first thing I thought of was uh oh worms or something...I remember seeing this on Mystery Diagnosis but maybe my imagination is running away with me.

Any ideas? Or am I crazy...

My idea is that lyme disease causes weird sensations. I knew a woman who told me it felt like her feet were walking on something wet and squishy all the time.

These false sensations are a form of neuropathy. Lyme disease causes this. It attacks the nerves and they send these false signals to the brain.

This lady also felt like her legs were moving when she was standing still. So, any type of weird sensation is possible with this disease.

Nothing to worry about.

I felt like I had moving patches of sunburn all over my body. It would happen when I went to bed at night. I said this must be what it feels like when you take LSD.

I also had the feeling of being stabbed by thousands of pins--a common form of neuropathy.

Yes, the back of my scalp felt like it was on fire at times, really really hot. I think TF has a good point. That symptom has long passed:)

Deb,

Your intuition is very good, don't discount it. I have had this goo and they turned out to be parasitic worms. Humaworm has some new ointment for this (I have never used it) but it's worth a shot. Lyme disease has a MAJOR worm/parasite component to it.

You can type parasites and Lyme into the search bar here for more info. Don't ignore this,
