Hello, we got Western blot results from doctor. IgM positive on 41 and 39
IgG positive on 41 and 28

Does anyone think these indicate Lyme? We have an appointment with a LLMD. The infectious disease doctor thought the IgM was a false positive and did not want to treat.

Very sick with neurological symptoms and fatigue for 3 months, and tired before that.

Thanks for any opinions.

Why on earth would he determine it was a false positive? I don't understand!

I'm glad you're seeing an LLMD, it sounds like you need treatment.

Inf disease drs are so lame!! He just doesn't want to treat you... period.

I got this from Dr C's Western Blot Explanation, found in the very first thread at the top of Medical.

This is from that link:

"Band 39: Unknown what this antigen is, but based on research at the National Institute of Health (NIH), other Borrelia (such as Borrelia recurrentis that causes relapsing fever), do not even have the genetics to code for the 39 kDa antigen, much less produce it. It is the most specific antibody for borreliosis of all."

I agree. If you look at the symptoms list you

probably have a lot more with differing degrees.

Glad you have a LLMD set up. Prayers for a easy

road to wellness. You have time to prepare now with

getting ready to eat meals, electrolytes

replacements, things of that nature. In case you

get worse like many do, before we get better.
