I have had some set backs and ended up with some IV antibiotics left in my fridge, IV Zithromax, that are a week past the expiration date...
Does anyone know how strict this is and if it is due to it not being able to guarantee it is as potent or are there other issues?

I realize that doxy is mixed and then goes bad.
The zithromax comes in liquid form like IV Flagyl and it is refridgerated until used.
It is still in the fridge...
I am not planning on using it. Too bad though it is a waste to just throw it out too..

What I did find is that they word it like this.
"Is stable for 10 days".
So stable must mean it starts to deteriorate in potency? I assume that is the reason and not toxicity..?
