okay, I'm back already. I have researched Lyme for years. Of course, I don't remember what I learned but that goes with the territory! LOL I am looking for info on Bartonella. Specific stuff that will isolate it from Lyme. I don't get the IGG and IGM stuff, what does it mean? Is there anywhere I can read up on this? What are the skin issues that go along with it? I have skin "stuff" goin on and am befuddled. Small red spots all over upper torso appear, then go away; brown Spots" that are mostly small, thought they might be just dry skin but they're not. They pop up here and there too. (upper torso, legs, arms) Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Another good source is lymemd.blogspot.com. Search for bartonella and pick through all the stories on bart, its symptoms and treatment.
Several labs have western blots for some bartonella species, that's what the IGG and IGM refers to. IGG is a longer term immune response, IGM is short term - in the CDC's eyes there are different criteria for being lyme positive depending on which you're looking at.
I've yet to be tested, but have the same sort of raised red spots.
As for isolating it from lyme, you'll probably have to do it by lab test, and you'll be lucky to do so since there are many BLO's that don't show up in standard testing. There is a huge overlap in symptoms between lyme and bart. I've yet to hear that bart by itself causes joint pain and swelling, but most everything else could be either. I think Burrascano treats lyme first and suspects bart if the symptoms don't resolve and are primarily neuro-cognitive.
