I am about to go back on a treatment plan after a month off. I had chosen to do Bactrim DS, Mino and Tindamax, but it looks like I'm allergic to Bactrim.
I could also do the Cowden protocol modified by my doc. But I haven't seen a lot of info on it here on lymenet. Is that because it's not a successful treatment. Are their online groups that just do Cowden?
I don't want to backslide by trying it. I have been on abx treatment for 8 months.
Has anyone treated with this and how did you do?

IT didn't help me at all, and I spent over 2,000 on its protocol.
Personally, I think that is ridculous price for something that doesn't have one lick of proof that it is helpful, not a report following 100 patients or something like that.
My advice would be to try some herbal remidies that don't cost nearly as much...

I did the full Cowden protocol for six months then switched to modified Cowden. I backslid on the treatment. At first I felt much better, likely from being off abx and from the detoxification, but then I backslid, mainly from coinfections.
A PE1 is only $1000 and seems to have a better success rate, not to mention, you only buy it once. Not many have used the PE1, but Brussels and Lymie_in_MD are both better from it. I got better from a different infrared light treatment.

I think that if Cowden fails, it is most likely because babesia or some other coinfection is not properly addressed. The more I learn, the more that I feel that you have to hit everything at once. My husband backslid on Cowden when he was on just Banderol and Samento. I feel this is because his babesia and ehrlichia were not addressed.
But now he is on Enula, Cumanda, Samento, Burbur and GSE. He is not backsliding and we are making some slow progress after 3 months on this protocol.
We just had our electrodermal screening which showed that is lyme is much diminished and his babesia and ehrlichia are gone. His parasites appear to be gone after taking paracleanse. We think he was reinfected by a mosquito bite with bartonella bacilliformis, since that showed up at this session when it had been gone at the previous visit.
The EDS machine shows that this protocol hits the following:
Enula: hits mycoplasma, ehrlichia. Hits babesia in some of us.
Cumanda: hits bartonella and lyme and some viruses.
Samento: hits lyme and with some of us hits bartonella.
GSE: hits babesia better than anything else and also hits candida.
Paracleanse or Caprasite: hits worms.
This protocol is healing my children after they plateaued on abx. We all also take Morningstar Minerals Energy Boost, as we all have low minerals, GABA and amino acids from the infections. And, of course, VSL for our probiotics.

Sounds like a crap shoot. I don't know about you, but i couldn't afford a $2k crap shoot.

I did Three Months of the normal protocol and then was switched to the condensed protocol for 1 month. They told me to stop since I'd seen no changes.

If I had it to do over, I'd try the Byron White herbs instead. Hits all issues, and costs a lot less. If no improvement is seen, I suppose I'll be out of 3-600 dollars.

The imprinted formulas are tough. I have been herxing horribly on imprinted Banderol. I have to change to something else soon.
I have a friend though who has only done Cowden (not imprinted) and has had slow but steady improvement. She may not have coinfections though.
I think if you are about 100% it could be good for maintenance.
My llmd seems to be all about Byron White formulas these days which is where I am probably headed at next appt.
You could try Cowden for a month or two. You will probably know fairly quickly if its a go for you.

Yes, if you use the search feature, threads will come up on either the PE1 or Bionic 880. Also photon treatment.

Not yet, but my girlfriend is. I'm just getting back on my Rife therapy. I had to stop it for quite awhile because of a surgery I was preparing for, and for which I am now recovering from.

I backslid on a modified Cowden. The only thing that really helped were doxy, ceftin, and malerone.

I did modified Cowden as well for almost a year.
I was feeling 90% when I went on and had little to no herxing on any of the herbs. Samento, Banderol, Cumanda. I also did parsley with the others.
I felt it kept my yeast in check. I felt stable on them for almost a year until I started slipping.
For me I just don't think they were powerful.
I'm on Byron White now A-lyme and A -Bart. I can feel these are more powerful. I've had subtle herx type feelings but overall seem to be improving with these so far. Time will tell.
