It varies from person to person. Some people use IV, others don't.

Any abx can make a negative test turn positive even though it doesn't always happen.

i have been having iv antibiotics for about 5 weeks now, i didnt no how long u were suppossed to have them for. i still have a positive lyme test

Some are on IV 6 months, or a year to 18 months. It just depends. You really can't rely on a test to tell you if you're well or not. Go by symptoms. Posted by Jody Rinehart (Member # 24080) on :
i dont feel any better after 5 weeks, i think i feel worse
