You will get a million different answers for this question. It is different for everyone.
After a year and a half of treatment I felt slightly better.
In the DVD "Under Our Skin", the ranger says it was during his 3rd year of treatment when he started feeling better.
For some it is a few months. Some it is years.
I hope you are one of the "few months" people!

Depends upon how long you've been sick! Took me at least one to two years, but I had been ill for 42 yrs. In 4 yrs I was well!

I was only sick for a year and a half when they finally figured out it was lyme and Babs.
But I have been in treatment for 2.5 years, and am still really sick.
So it depends. I do see people who get much better within a year. I know other people where it took 8 years.

I had LD for at least 8 years before I was diagnosed and started getting treatment.
It took about 4-5 months of doxy (400 mg) and zith before I started feeling better. I then went on Biaxin and flagyl for a few months and felt about 80% better.
I then plateaued for several months while trying different abx combos.
My main unresolved problem was fractionated sleep. I tried every sleep med and cognitive therapy out there without success.
I started Tindamax and Cipro a few weeks ago and feel like the brain fog has finally lifted. However, I also started taking Restoril and/or Xanax for sleep around the same time and have finally been able to get some decent sleep, so I am not sure if I feel better simply due to the Tindamax/Cipro combo or if my improved sleep has allowed me to focus better.

Did everyone feel increasingly better over the years? or was it up and down?
I have been doing treatment for 3 yearss now and I was feeling better, but now I feel as sick as the day I started treatment.
I am so scared I will not get better. I have really lost hope.
