An important element in Matrix Electrolytes is phosphorus. A few days ago I posted the recipe of the "Rehydration Cocktail" Dr. K. talked about at a recent seminar, with added ingredients To help the electrolytes reach the place they need to go. In plain water, often the stuff runs right through us and is literally lost.
If you do a search for my posts about 2-3 days ago, you will find it. I don't have time right now --- it's way past my bedtime.

Also there are "Selectrolytes" from Morin Labs n East Coast...this was the product Dr.K. sugested previously...My ND says they are the same product.
They come in a dark glass bottle. I don't know why Biopure's Electrolytes come in plastic...but I think its related to shipping glass bottles with breakage...as Morin has that problem sometimes.

I bought three products from biopure after reading through Dr. K. material.
I bought the clay for detox, the silica for detox, and the Matrix Electrolytes. Cost a fortune. But desparate people do desperate things!
Showed my Ph.D. husband what I bought and he laughed.
Clay.....is clay. Silica is sand. Matric Electrolytes....well, he said he could bring that home from the lab for me for pennies.
Don't worry, all is well, but we both looked at each other and rolled in laughter.

I use the ME only during the winter months, then, when the spring watermelons come to market, I go for them and leave ME behind. By far, the watermelons do a better job, IN MY CASE. (I actually got the watermelon info from a the Allergie-Immun Germany thread on a post by quite possibly the most knowledgeable person on this entire site! Although, I'm sure that particular post will likely be removed once she reads this.)
I'd find the most water-laden melon/fruit grown in your region and use that instead of ME or Selectrolyte, when ever possible.

It has occurred to me that if I buy junk for half the price, it is still junk. I have never gone wrong with any product recommended after trial in practice.
Selectrolyte is not the same as Matrix Electrolyte. I have known the owner of Morin Labs since the nineties and he is a wonderful guy. But the product is not the same.
Time has not stood still and lots is being learned every day. A lot of smart people are working quietly on the sidelines - often people who are scientists and have had the misfortune of having an ill family member or child. Prof. Boyd Haley who testifies before Congress is one of them and I can name you a number of other researchers/scientists who have developed products that work better, because they had a personal interest, particularly with the exposure we are facing today, every day because of the 80,000 chemicals and thousands more being developed every year.
Yes, I wish these things would cost less.
But I am not sure that I would go out stamping my feet in the earth or eat the carrot straight from the garden as I did when I was a child, to get the infusion of silica that we did when I was a child. These days are gone. People spray and mess up, until the frogs in the pond no longer make their music all night, the fish die, and we gradually become more and more toxic every day of our life by merely living in the neighborhood.
We opened up the earth to remove it all and now we don't quite know how to put the genie back into the bottle. My efforts are directed at detoxing, not retoxing. I feel sad for the people who have less than we do - we live on social security and the trips we had been wanting to take have slowly turned into antitoxins.
Watch the label on the garlic bulb you buy!
Take care and sip your electrolytes - you will be better off for it!

Electrolytes are very common. Many drinks like Gatorade, etc. have electrolytes. Probably not something that requires a test, but you can see sodium, chloride, potassium, etc. levels in most blood tests. Very supportive of kidneys during detox.

I think the electrolytes from Biopure are the same price as the Selectrolytes...also you must add in shipping.
Glass bottles are heavier than the plastic for Bipure. And My ND called Morin labs and they say the products are exactly the same. She may be wrong...
The only difference was on the original Selectrolyte label it reads...Phosphate...where the Biopure product reads Phospherous.
Selectrolytes do not post the exact amounts and Biopure does not post if the phosporus is "phosphate". So there may be a difference, but I was assured to relax, that there was not.
I researched the difference as I am no expert and always learning...and wanted to correct product for my need. Selectrolytes are easier for me to get quickly.
"Phosphorus (as phosphate) is more efficiently absorbed in the small intestine than most other minerals. Between 50% and 90% is absorbed depending on the need. This is much higher absorption percentage than for either calcium or magnesium and further reduces the likelihood of phosphorus deficiency under normal conditions."
I will research further as I do not want to mislead anyone...
