I did a search for previous posts about thinning hair and noticed a lot of people have this same problem, but I didn't really see anything about how to help it.

I know about thyroid support but does anyone know of any other ways to help thinning hair?

Treat Lyme

I searched forever... and at the end of the day... Treat Lyme.

Dr B said, "It's Lyme, stupid."

You could spend hours racking your brain trying to figure out why hair is thinning/falling out (trust me I did lol)...

But it all comes back to Lyme.

lol I know

It's the autoimmune response
The inflammation
The endocrine system
The abx's
The yeast
The heavy metals

^^ See what I mean : )
It'll stop, eventually, I hope, I've been told lol

I've noticed the bald actresses are very attractive when they wear a lot of earrings and necklaces.

If it gets bad, I may go that route.

Biotin should help 7,500 mg.

AG Pro helps with thinning hair. You can get it at any health food store. Ask your doctor first.

When I stopped the abx a few months ago, it stopped falling out.

It's still not shiny and pretty like it once was, though.

I've been wondering if it were the abx. I have very thick hair, and it has thinned on top. I asked my hubby if he can tell the difference, and he laughs. He thinks it's a joke because my hair looks thick, but I can really tell the difference. My old LLMD had even pointed it out, and my hairdresser had made a comment. She said it looked like it was coming back the last time I saw her.

Thanks for your responses. I really hope this stops soon. My hair is about half as thick as it used to be and I noticed this morning that my son's hair is doing the same thing......

Same thing here. Just had blood drawn for my son.
How old is your son?
It's really starting to scare me.

Same for me...although I am over 50 and pre manaupausal...could be hormones/thyroid all not functioning correctly with age along with the health issues.

My ND just put me on a low dose of iodine...to help my thyroid...I will see if my hair stops falling out. I'm not expecting much.

My hair was also falling out and thinning. I have had two hairdressers from different salons tell me to try Nioxin and it does seem to help. Its expensive but you can purchase it at Walmart in the hair salon. Its a three step process. It lasts for a long time since you don't need to use much in any of the three cotainers.
