Hi Folks,

I can't remember which form of Mg is the good one(s) and which ones are to be avoided.

I also recall years ago reading somewhere (maybe here on lymenet?) that some form of magnesium actually feeds the lyme bacteria. I can't remember the specifics, just that there was some warning about magnesium. Anyone care to refresh my memory?

Thank You!

Magnesium Glycinate is considered best absorbed form.

Magnesium Citrate is used more for bowel issues...constipation. Not absorbed as well.

Hi MariaA - I've heard the "feeding phrase" said about both manganese and magnesium. I think it's bad wording on everyone's part.

While the bacteria utilizes both these minerals, so do our bodies... Kind of like saying we should stop eating because we might feed the bacteria... Whatever

Wild huh?
