The WHO just came out this week and said that the epidemic is not over -- H1N1 has just now started showing up in Africa I believe.
Also March, 2010 issue of Reader's Digest has an interview with Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services -- predicting a 3rd wave of infection and urging vaccination. Read the interview here:

I don't think it is over. I do believe there is a chance it can return. I am still not getting the shot by people who recommend it when they can
only afford to pay one lab to search for an organism that has the potential to alter every living thing, while it secures vaccine globally
for a virus they let them dig up from dead soldiers and spread out to 17 different countries. I have been a fool before and I may be
again, but I did not fall for it in the 70's and I'm not now. If I die it will be because they let them dig it up not because I refused to fall for their money making schemes.

My son had H1N1 w/LD and although he felt like he was near death, the high fever for 10 days actually turned out to be a good thing. He was on Bicillin shots for LD tx and not long after he got well form H1N1 his LD went into remission. His LLMd thinks the high long term fever killed a lot of Bb off.
My son, as sick as was, said he'd never get the vaccine and rather just get the "real deal" instead.
He is doing great now and off all abx...well.

I don't doubt it's not real. I just think it's hyped up to sell the vaccines. I am sure it's a bad flu. But I don't think it's an epidemic!
I know people who have had it and are fine. The media just scares people into getting the vaccines.

Walgreens pharmacy is still offering the vaccine at every outlet. I've talked with pharmacists. They see nothing wrong with it. Just a little mercury in it, they say. No formaldehyde, no squalene. No Guillain Barre.
All I know is I've been reading about the many people who get side effects, including Guillain Barre, from the vaccine.

I've seen reports that this H1N1 is quite possibly a warm weather survivor. They believe another wave is coming with Spring season?????

I have lyme and coinfections as does my son. We both received the H1N1 vaccine and have had no ill side effects from it whatsoever (we received our shots over a month ago).
I've had the flu several times in my life and felt like death...I've heard from others who've had H1N1 and they say it's the worst flu they've EVER had in their lives!

My son had H1N1-he was sick for about 4 days, with a 101 temp, and then was fine. Since no one else in our family caught it-I decided not to vaccinate

the vaccine is free where i live, and at walgreens it under $20. i have a hard time believing they are making much money from it.
also from what i read and was told when i received the vaccine, it was done with only one strain so therefore doesnt have the chemical additives that the normal shots have. therefore i got only the H1N1 and not the seasonal. i think it has turned out to be a good choice as swine has been the only flu circulating.
i decided to get it because i felt so terrible i figured if i got flu no way my body would be able to fight it off. at the very least it has given me some minor peace of mind and i havent been sick with even a runny nose all winter.
that being said i woke up feeling terrible today and im wondering if im coming down with something.

There has been no H1N1 epidemics everywhere winter has passed. Not in the Southern Hemisphere countries, where winter is LONG GONE (they are in full summer, NO H1N1 EPIDEMIC EITHER).
There won't be any epidemic. Don't be fooled.
The vaccines were bought by the government and given 'free' to the population (with YOUR tax money).
The tax money that could have gone to schools and other health care issues went to vaccines to prevent an epidemic that didn't happen and has not happened in all the Southern countries that passed through winter.
It killed MUCH less than a seasonal flu. This is a campain of DISINFORMATION of the population for the profit of pharma industry. There is now an investigation being opened in the Council of Europe, because some politicians start to think Europe was fooled by the pharma industry.
Polish governement DENIED the use of vaccinations against the H1N1 with their population and the outcome, compared to the UK, who pushed the population to get the vaccine, was practically the SAME.

Past Flu vaccinations have not worked, so it is irrelevant whether you get inoculated or not. You only have the possible risk of side effects, with little or no benefit.
The independent studies keep pointing to the fact that Flu vaccinations do not prevent deaths from the Flu, and yet public officials act as if they do.
I disagree with some of what has been posted. My family and I used to get the flu OFTEN. Maybe every year or every other year. This was BEFORE we started getting vaccinated for the flu.
Since we have been receiving vaccines for the flu (every year now for the past 20 years or so) NOT ONE of us has had the flu.
That tells me that it works. At least for my family.

i fail to see how the government would be motivated to spend tax $ to buy vaccines then give them away to the public.
the reason there have been fewer deaths has been because it affects a different part of the population. typically the seasonal flu take out older less healthy people which hasnt been the case this year causing fewer deaths. That being said its foolish to quantify the ramifications of an illness based solely on death rates, if we did lyme would be way down the list.
I have spoken to people who have had it, and read posts from people on here, who have said its a horrible bug much much worse than typical flu. Also swine is certainly an epidemic, it has been reported (an i belive it from as many people that i know) that 50 million americans have been affected.

My husband got the worst case of the flu AFTER getting the flu shot.
I have a friend whose baby died a few days after receiving the flu vaccine.

H1N1 went through my small town and it was definitely an epidemic here. Many were hospitalized, some died (including a relative of mine who had no known health problems).
My husband is a teacher in a K-8 school and almost every student caught the h1n1 and several of the teachers did, as well.
It ran rampant through my town. Of course, that was before vaccines became available to the public in our area so no one here was protected.
Now, a good majority of our town has been inoculated and I have not heard of any more cases of the flu. Of course, we may have another wave in the spring...we're not sure.
I think this flu was/is a pretty big deal. I'm surprised that people here don't think it is. I guess you haven't seen what I've seen. Maybe your town wasn't hit hard and you didn't lose any family members from it. Some of us have.

Does your husband have lyme? I know it can cause lyme and coinfections to flare when your immune system is dealt with something like a vaccine.
I have had this happen to me. In my situation, taking rifampin prior to a flu shot and for about 2 weeks following the shot, seems to prevent me from flaring too badly with bartonella.

I agree with Brussels! I also won't get any vaccine, flu, swine or any other toxin jabbed into my body ever again! Not after becoming informed... I will take my chances!
One more thing...many many pregnant women were give this vaccine and then miscarried! I actually talked to someone who was 5 months along and doing fine and then got this vaccine and miscarried. Why would they give this to pregnant women when it clearly says on the insert it isn't proven to be safe for them???

Each one has to decide by oneself. But no way I will EVER get any flu vaccine in my life, nor let my child get these stuff when you see that some researchers who developed vaccines DON'T VACCINATE THEMSELVES EITHER!!
The label of the H1N1 vaccine say: NOT TESTED FOR PREGNANT WOMEN.
But the governments say PREGNANT WOMEN ARE TO BE VACCINATED FIRST!
Go figure with what they are playing on us.
I wonder if they showed the label of the vaccines to pregnant women before they got vaccinated, HOW MANY pregnant women would accept to be vaccinated knowing that it has NOT been tested for pregnant women.
Here in South Korea, everyone said they had the SWINE FLU back in December. This is because they went to hospitals after getting fever and WITHOUT TESTS, EVERY SINGLE PERSON WAS SAID TO HAVE SWINE FLU!!!
What they got, no idea, if the seasonal flu or not.
If I understood well, virologists say that there is not such a thing as a swine flu, nor a bird flu.
They don't have any idea why someone started calling it swine or bird flu...
So many lyme sufferers in this forum repeatedly said that they either GOT REALLY SICK with lyme after a vaccination or that after the vaccination, their health never came back to where it was. Even months or years after the 'bad' shot.
One lady's 9 month old baby was found dead hours after a shot. She's an active anti-vaccine proponent here in lymenet.
Had I known the statistics for allergies, I would never had vaccinated my baby before 2 years old. She got all shots, she turned up to be allergic to almost everything and finding food for her, was hell.
Only after, I read the statistics in Germany and Switzerland: unvacinnated children are CLEARLY less prone to be allergic.
After battling lyme for years, I know that the more allergic a person is, the HARDEST to overcome lyme and infectious diseases.
It is hard to tolerate abx, plants, supplements, even most foods, we get can get allergic to anything, herxes are unbearable. The more you are allergic, the less your immune system is functioning. The less chances to get out of lyme or other serious chronic infections.
Epidemiologically, I have serious doubts if any flu shot works for anything either. The minister of health in Poland (who is a medical doctor) said she can see nothing proving that such vaccinations will do any good to the population , so she said 'no' to buying the H1n1 shots too.
Nothing too bad happened there either as a consequence.

I know several women who were pregnant and got the h1n1 and seasonal flu vaccines this year. They ALL went on to have healthy babies.
I was pregnant recently and miscarried early on. IF, I had received the vaccine before or during the pregnancy, I would have thought the vaccine was the culprit.
Unfortunately, miscarriages happen. It's a risk we take when we decide to get pregnant.
AmyC, how do you know the miscarriage was a result of the vaccine? It could have been any number of reasons.

In the fall the Wall St. Journal noted how several Big Pharma companies were investing $Billions in "pandemics" and expected this to be a developing market.
Then the articles started hitting the mainstream media about the upcoming flu season and the importance of flu shots. Coincidence - no.
This fits perfectly with Big Pharma's strategy - Treat Everything, Cure Nothing to yield the greatest return on investment.
