Hey everyone,

I am now exactly 14 days at full strength Doxy 2oomg 2 x day, Tindamax 250mg 1 x day, Zithromax 250mg 2 x day, and Mepron 750mg 2 x day.

I havn't missed any doses, but lately I feel like I should back off. My head is killing me, but I am so nauseated and dizzy on top of that.

I notice that I shake while I'm sleeping. I wake up and notice my brain shivering or something. I'm so tired at the time, that I don't know whats going on, but it feels like my heart is going 300 beats per minute, when it is only 80.

And that feeling of bopping up and down, back and forth, like your balance is off is getting worse, or so it seems. This is the symptom that makes me feel like I have brain damage. I obviously don't as it comes and goes.

Called my Doc. and although he was busy, his Nurse says this is the good sign that I'm killing bugs and they are running for their lives. She also said, it could also be the toxins.

I just feel so terrible. My anxiety is high as well and my breathing is screwed up from time to time.

I've also began to sweat at different times during the day and I couldn't sweat for the longest time.

I know it's all conjecture, but just wondering if I should back off a few days or keep chugging along like a trooper.

Also wondering why the Low dose Naltrexone doesn't lift me up. I thought it was supposed to get the endorhins going. This isn't what I had in mind. I'm taking 4.5mg at night on this.

Lastly, I'm on a schlew of Vitamins and Curcuma and tons of B12 and Folic acid.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Gary

Hi 'twister: Short version... Yes, abx can make head sx's worse, but you might have brain damage anyway. I know I do. (LOL) Not making fun of you, just myself.

If easing up on doses doesn't work, then might have to try something else/another abx. Careful with the SOB, as it could be an allergic reaction (if it happened after starting a new drug). Hang in there, LT!

Ping,

I've had at least 5 MRI's. If I had brain damage, wouldn't something have shown. They have all been clear.

Gary - The answer is Yes and No. Yes, if it's so advanced that an MRI would pick it up. I've had MRI's too... Depends upon your definition (or the docs definition) of 'damage'. And No. Perhaps I should have used the word 'impaired', rather than damage. Even after 3 yrs. off abx, my memory and other items that are neurologically-based are not the same, although they're getting better, very slowly. There are some that say that the brain cannot repair itself, but I don't completely agree with that. I don't think you're in that category either. Just try to get through the side effects of your abx right now.

Did you add something to your protocol recently that you can trace back to the breathing nausea and dizziness, or is it always present and worsened lately?

killing bugs = inflammation. Inflammation = ^symptoms. I've been told that killing bugs will release heavy metals too.

Herbal anti-inflammatories, digestive enzymes between meals, toxin binding etc. etc. etc...

I think brain inflammation can be an issue.

I ramped up quick on the Abx. I just figured I'm sick anyway. The first week wasn't that bad, but I have noticed this week getting worse. I've just been toughing it out.

Since my last response, I am now all of a sudden freezing cold, like I need to take a hot bath. This thing changes hourly.

My memory is 100% intact. It's just the uncomfortable sensations I feel all throughout my head. Even my vision is fine, but the eyes hurt from time to time, and of course the fatigue is there as well.

Gary, this sounds like a Babs or other protozoan die-off. Mepron did this to me. Very sudden bone-chilling cold and lots of other things you're describing. Not saying it's completely and all Mep related, but I recognize those chills.

I just skipped the next dose and picked up the schedule the next day. You could try it, or cut the dose in half and work your way back up to full doses.

Lyme causes me to have sudden severe chills. Or maybe the die off of Lyme.

Much of what you describe sound herxish to me or just an abundance of chemicals in your body.

The choices you have are to push through or take a few days off and see if that helps. I think only you can make that decision based on how bad you are feeling.

I don't think you have to practically kill yourself to get better.

I used to get this. It's muscle spazms slowly releasing as you wake up. What kind of bed are you sleeping on? A spring mattress? Flexeril and an air mattress on top of your bed might provide relief

Thanks everyone,

I think I will take the weekend off and see what happens.

I don't have to kill myself trying to get well and thats what it feels like.

I will cont. supps over the weekend and resume on Monday if all goes well.

I was never this sick from Rifing or Salt/C, I can say that with certainty.

I think the drugs themselves are toxic in addition to whatever they are killing, but what do I know.

lymetwister, I bet you are experiencing a herxheimer and if so that is a good thing.

I think taking a few days off is a good idea though. Might be all you need to get a few toxins out of your system.

Maybe you are finally killing some darn spirochetes!

Gary,

I was that sick with antiparasitioc herbs and high doses of salt/c and had similar symptoms.

The bugs are on the run. So, yes, it does sound like you are herxing. Not a bad idea to take the weekend off. Hope you feel better,

Gael
