Elizabeth Chalker is a wonderful & giving young woman who is literally DYING from a critically severe case of Lyme disease. We are trying to get her the treatment she needs ASAP.

About Elizabeth: 39 years old and been sick for 12 years. Bed bound 98% of the day and literally must CRAWL in the few moments she can get around...Severe Dysautonomia (inability to stand without blacking out)...Horrific and constant pain 24/7 in every inch of her body from her head to her toes even with strong pain meds.
Severe Endometriosis...Seizures, convulsions, can barely talk...ETC.

She lives ALONE...abandoned by her family, church, and all but one friend.

Elizabeth's website: www.helpelizabeth.net

Dr. K in WA is willing to take on her complex case. But she will need funds for a private plane, expensive long term treatment, and a caretaker.

We are desperately looking for:

(1) An individual or company to fly her on a private plane from South Florida to Seattle

(2) Contacts to help her locate a place to live in the Seattle area

(3) Contacts in WA to help her find a part time caretaker (either volunteer or paid)

(4) Donations to help her pay huge expenses for all the above

Please help ANY way you can! All support and prayers would be greatly appreciated by Elizabeth and those of us who are trying to save her life.

***To get involved, please contact Helen at: [email protected]

I would look outside of the lyme community, too. I have no energy to get into this and wish I did as I understand the need. However, so many in the lyme community are just flat broke. So we need "lyme friends and others" -

I will pass this on to a few people I know who, while they can't help, may know some who can.

Have someone post there. Wonderful people grant huge wishes for people nearly every day. You can raise money, and enlist help.

I'd also suggest posting on sites like Craigslist. You could get together a group of people with 1 person in almost every state, that could post an ad on the Craigslist for their state or area.

I'm pretty sick myself, but I'd like to be as much help as I can. Please let me know how I can help.

Does Dr. K ever see people like that (in seriously ill condition) free of charge? It would seem like great promotion of his talents and more importantly an extremely kind act. I wish this person the best in getting the help they need.

I did send an email through the website as well. I live in Seattle and am an Oncology RN. Although I am on disability currently, and don't spend much time outside my house currently, I would like to help her out in any way I could. A ride to dr's appts, meals, read a book, sit with her, help with medications, etc etc. It would do me a lot of good as well to help someone else out, as I really really miss my job, just haven't been able to go back to work.

Thanks everyone!

Limeaid, wow thanks for offering so much direct hands-on help! I think you may be our first Angel sent for Elizabeth's miracle!

And great other suggestions too! I know most of us on here are very sick and don't have any spare finances or energy, but even the smallest ideas and suggestions can make a difference.

I think it will end up being a network of Angels who help save Elizabeth's life!

Thanks Erica,
Do you know Elizabeth personally? Is the Dr. in Seattle hoping to start her on a new treatment? Do you know the timeframe when we hope that she will be here in Seattle, or is everything up in the air, as more people offer to help?
Please let me know if there is something I can do in the meantime.
Take care,
Limeaid(Kyle Ann)

Here's some info for potential flights.

Air Charity Network

Air Care Alliance

I haven't used these services, but have used medical flight services designated for kids.

The first link is an organization that will transport adults as well as kids.

The second link is a resource. They list many organizations that provide flights and transportation.

Have you already ruled out a Dr in California?

Thanks for the additional ideas!

I don't know Elizabeth personally, rather indirectly through Helen who is coordinating these efforts for her.

I'm very sick currently and cannot get involved with helping Elizabeth as much as I'd like to. This post is really the extent of what I can do...

Helen does not have a Lymenet account, so cannot check the replies on here and I'm doing my best to keep her updated by copying & pasting the replies and emailing to her.

She is VERY busy not only coordinating these efforts for Elizabeth (and helping many other patients as well), but is also a full-time caretaker for her daughter who is very sick with Lyme.

Limeaid, I know Helen has been anxious to hear from you!

Please anyone offering direct assistance, do email Helen directly at: [email protected]

By the way, this woman Helen is an amazing example of what people can do when they put their heads together.....her efforts are truly heroic.
