Have any of you had success with this combination? What was your dosage with each?

Did you have success with another abx combined with the levaquin?

I am inquirung for a friend who would appreciate your input.

Thanks!

hi,

levaquin is generally given in 500mg/day. like burrascano says.. it can be combinated with tetracycline drugs. if you want to clear up your brain you can try monicycline instead of doxycycline. minocycline pentrates the brain way better then doxycycline does.

normal doses for minocycline is 200mg/day. but last time i saw a few people doing 300mg-400mg/day. i did 300mg/day also. good strong combination. take a cyst buster after that.. it will help too.

I strongly suspected a co-infection of Bartonella, escecially due to sore soles. I tried Levaquin with no results.

I finally went on Tindamax and Cipro, which have helped immensely. The Tindama is both an anti-bacterial,an anti-protozoa, and an excellent LD cystbuster, so it covers Bart and Babesia, as well as LD. My feet stopped hurting within about 3-4- weeks of this combo.

The cipro also has effect against Bart, plus it is reputed to increase tissue concentrations of abx rivaling those of IV abx.

I started out on 250 mg of cipro once a day for a week and then upped it to 250 mg twice a day.

I take 500 mg of Tindamx twice a day. Just be sure to take these immediately after meals in order to avoid stomach upset.

I also take 6-8 nystatin tablets (500,000 IU) with meals and snacks per day to avoid thrush and yeast overgrowth problems.
