Could anyone direct me to a reliable lab that will test for this strain of Babesia?

I was infected in Europe where this is common.

I had a FISH test done at IGenex and PCR done at Medical Diagnostics. They were both negative.

As I understand it, the 'routine" Babesia tests are for B.Microtii and a couple of other N.American strains, but not B.Divergens.

My LLMD treated me in the past for babesia on clinical grounds and i did improve, but now i am losing ground again and I wonder if the Babesia is back. i would like to try and get tested for Divergens if possible.

I got tested through Clongen labs and came back positive. I'm not sure though about this strain. Maybe you could check with them to see if they test for it?

Well, what meds have you tried and how long were you on them. What are your Bab symptoms?

Most bab symptoms are pretty similar with some variances of which muscles become weak.

Even if you did have another stain of the babs its still a parasite and would respond Mepron/Zith or several others.

What was ur regimin and how long how you been off?

I'd go with FISH via Igenex; it checks for the RNA of babs, not your antibodies like PCRs and WB's do.
