I have tried Epsom Salt baths and rubbing with

lemon juice, and or coconut oil. If it is very bad

I would call your doc who may want you to try some benedryl.

Tried all of the above. Benedryl definitely helps but hubby has to work 10-12 hrs/ day.

He also has a kind of high-profile job.

Try NOW brand vitamin E oil and apply as needed.

Low thyroid can also cause the extreme leg itches. Digging to the bones itches.

Oh the itch goes on...

Gold bond med. lotion seems to give Hubby some relief....we battle this also...his itch is where his rash is though...which is everywhere!

Id say if there is no rash...make sure your well hydrated...also make sure kidney function is appropriate... Wanda

Ive been itching itchin like crazy--arms legs, thighs, stomach etc and believe it or not baking soda mad into a paste with water helps me.

I didnt like the bendryl because it makes me feel "druged".

Its as cheap as anything and maybe it will work for him. Its worth 1.50 for the box.

Good luck

Karen (:

Also....I see where you said he has too work...so do I and one day at work I thought I was going to die...and of course I am out in front of people at all times.

That is the day I had to leave and go to target and get bendryl. It helped but I had a hard time focusing

so after reading about the baking soda and trying it and it helped I take a box with me to work.

You can take it in the bathroom and put it on if an attack happens.

I like that it blends into the skin and there is NO odor. You just have to watch as it can fall on your clothes...but you can brush that off (:

If Benedryl works then 24hr non drowsy antihistamines might help too. Something like a generic zyrtec or claritin.

even zyrtec made me feel loopy but yes there are alot of OTC meds that are non drowsy that may help. (:

Hope hes doing better.

Karen
