Hi Just looking for any women who have had good/bad experiences with testosterone supplementation. I am thinking of supplementing my low levels.

I am interested in this too. I am looking into every possible explanation for weakness and fatigue. I am post menopausal by 5 years. I get my bio-available testosterone result tomorrow.

What was your result?

Anne

I take bio identical hormones with progesterone, estrogen and testosterone. Have for over five years now and it has helped a lot with fatigue, mood. Progesterone has helped with sleep.

We did do a test initially and I can't remember what it was--my doctor goes more by symptoms rather than blood tests as they vary over the course of a day and month.

They usually only give you a small amount--nothing so much that you'll grow hair on your chest or want to be king of the jungle. [Smile]

I noticed after a few months on abx I didn't need as much hormones as before...I believe they started working better so I just cut my dose.

IMHO I would try it. It might be one more piece of the puzzle.

I take testosterone. It really helps with energy and I think, depression.

you really need to be under a knowledgable docs care...wether a MD or ND. Just someone who knows hormones.

If your ratio isn't monitered for correct dosages you'd opening up a pandora's box.

I got to a group called bodylogicmd they are a national company. You can google for info...pros & I believe cons are listed.

Thank you all for your responses. I could use help with energy for sure.

Annelet - I had 2 conventional testosterone levels done at different labs. One had a direct free level at 0.3 and another had a level of 0.86 when the normal range was 1.1-2.8.

It is confusing because all labs have different ranges.

My estrogen is fine but my progesterone was very high and one of my docs said that he sees high progesterone levels in women with Lyme and it corrects after treatment - interesting.

I tried the bio-identical horomones and they sent me into a depression.
