So it is colder outside today and i'm hoping thats part of the reason my hands and feet are super cold. Sometimes one hand is super cold and the other is fine.

My feet literally feel like they are frozen though and it scares me a little. I have 2 pairs of socks on and my feet are still cold- it seems more so on my right side (right hand and foot) I also get this burning sensation- sometimes on my toes or other part of the foot. I cant tell if its the coldness making my feet burn or possibly neuropathy

I had an EMG done like 2 months ago and it was normal, if other testing is required why didn't my neurologist suggest it?

my MRI shows no white matter or anything, which surprises me b/c my symptoms are very neuro- twitching, burning, bad mood stuff- terrible anxiety and depression- which leads me to another question

has anyone tried st johns wort or SAMe for mood/depression? I'm hoping magnesium will help a little w/the twitching and anxiety but if anyone has another good supplement they use for that i would really apprecaite hearing about it.

The "freakiness" of this disease really gets to me and i'm looking for strategies to forget about it- which is hard when things seem to be getting worse

I've only been on abx for 2 months and came off due to my candidia problem- i'm looking into natural options now that wont make my low blood pressure any worse. has anyone had good results with things like astragalus or cats claw (samento)? I just dont think my body will do long term abx well since i cant really cut out all sugar without hypoglycemia symptoms and MORE mood and candidia issues.

Sorry for so many questions in one post and thanks in advance for any replies!

Can't cut out sugars because of hypoglycemia?

I think you have that all wrong. You WANT to cut out sugars. Avoid sugar and simple carbs like the plague.

I'm a hypoglycemia/adrenal fatigue sufferer myself.

As for the cold... adrenal fatigue, candida, thyroid, poor circulation, lyme and co.

Probably a combination of all of that ^^^

** If you have hypoglycemia there is a GREAT chance you have adrenal fatigue. please research it.

Yup, I'm definitely rolling with what canefan thinks.

Not to worry, with an adjustment in your diet and supplements, that should go away.

I had the same problem about 5 months ago. It was severe and lasted for weeks. Just like you, I would wear 2 pairs of socks and stick my feet next to a heater, and it was only a little help!

I don't really have that issue anymore. It goes away slowly, but now-a-days I'm feeling generally warmer.

Like canefan said, I changed my diet to pretty much: meats (steak, chicken, beef, fish), brown rice, black beans, LOTS of vegetables, fruits, and the occasional dark chocolate and my favorite (teddy grahams). [Smile]

You should feel better within a couple weeks to a month once you do that, but I noticed some results within a couple days.

Good luck to you.

Thanks guys, yes i'm on an adrenal supplement and it has helped with the blood pressure issue but i guess i need to try working on the diet more, and check the thyroid again-

Like you wolfed out i eat mostly brown rice and meat with veggies but i need to stop caving in to sweets. I'll be going along fine and then i give in to a brownie. Right now though my sugar is kefir and the rice flour thats included in some of my supplements.

Kefir is probably no good for you if you have hypoglycemia.

Too much sugar!

Because is can be too stimulating for the part of the immune system that is just overwhelmed for advanced lyme, astragalus is only for acute, new lyme UNLESS in a specific formula, balanced with other things.

Well i just read samento can lower blood pressure... what are other natural options if not a good formula of astragalus? do you happen to know a good balanced formula that i could check out Keebler?

I have similar symptoms---burning skin, cold feet (sometimes feels like a low electric voltage going through my feet). Also muscle twitches & floaters.

My Doc says LD & related TBD are, among other things, diseases of the peripheral nervous system. So, the feelings you describe are probably peripheral neuropathy caused by LD or Bart.

I also was checked out by a neuro---no muscle deficits & no problems except for the obvious "sensory peripheral neuropathy".

In my case its "slightly" better with abx treatment----but still there after 4 years. Just started rifampin 4 weeks ago & it seems to be helping.

Curiously, temazepam helps a lot for about 6 hours. Doc says it the "gabba" effect from the temazepam. Can only take it @ night ---for sleep. But it works.

Good luck.
