What is considered Hypothyroid? My current t4 level is 8.8 and I believed that is considered high.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Anyone?

If your t4 is high, based on the reference range (do you know it?), then you would not be hypothyroid.

Hypothyroid causes LOW t4. Free t4 is best to measure.

Are you on replacement? What is TSH level?

For some it can be considered sub-clinical hypothyroidism.

Usually meaning they cannot discern a cause.

Usually balance of all hormones including calcium and D is the key.

You could very well be in early stages of hypothyroid though.

I would get an adrenal saliva test and I would check the following...

rT3
Free T3
Free T4
Both antibodies

This will give you a great indication of what your endocrine is doing.

but at the end of the day you have to treat Lyme and Co : )

These are all good tips!

I am also low in vitamin D, so this may be adding to the problem.

I wil also ask for the saliva test next time I visit my llmd.

Thanks

savebabe, you may want to make sure that you're not iron deficient as well. Check ferritin.
