Began Amox and Biaxin, within one week had a significant reduction in neuro symptoms that lasted for months.
This past November, they all crept back... the insomnia, anxiety, depression, numbness tingling.
Then Feb, tried a tiny amount of malarone, then art, and got the rocky boat feeling that since had not gone away and now have every single symptom that got better. PLUS, this new increase n symptoms 1-2 hrs after I eat.
Is couldn't have been Babs that improved since biaxin and amox doesnt treat it.
So what did the biaxin and amox treat?

Whatever you treated came back. That is the explanation. If you don't erradicate lyme and its coinfections, they come back.
Amoxi treats lyme. So, say you were treating lyme with the amoxi and biaxin. But, perhaps the dose wasn't high enough, or you didn't then go after coinfections.
So, the lyme eventually won out. The weak lyme germs were killed by the meds and the remaining ones became resistant to it.
Or, the lyme went into cyst form in the presence of amoxi. (This is a fact. It will do this.) So, all those symptoms went away. (When in the cyst form, lyme does not seem to cause symptoms. But, it is still there.)
When you stop the amoxi, the lyme comes out of the cysts and all the lyme symptoms come back.
Without knowing all the details of your treatment (did you stop the amoxi in November?), I am just guessing as to what happened.
But, until you get rid of all your diseases, and until you strengthen your immune system (like with the 1 hour Burrascano weight lifting routine), your diseases will just return.
The 1 year on doxy was a waste of a year. Taking just doxy isn't generally a good plan. And, taking it alone for 1 year isn't a good treatment plan.
I suggest you study the Burrascano lyme treatment guidelines and see what good combination high-dose antibiotic therapy looks like.
THen, compare your therapy to what Burrascano recommends.
If you are not getting well, and if your disease is continuing to progress, your therapy is inadequate. That's what Burrascano stated at a lyme conference I attended. And, that was my exact case.
THen I changed doctors and got one who followed Burrascano and then I got rid of my lyme, babs, and bart.
It has been 5 years since then, and I am still symptom-free.
But, I had to first learn what good lyme treatment looks like in order to evaluate my treatment and figure out that I needed to change docs.
That may or may not be your case. You will have to figure that out.

Staying on the same meds for months on end is not advised. Much better to switch or add something new every 3 or 4 months in my opinion unless treating babesia or bartonella which require at least 6 months of treatment. Even then adding in new meds is advisable.
