Can you get too much calcium by taking antacids? I've had Lyme for over 15 years and have been on antibiotics the whole time. I take a break about once a year to see what happens but feel better on them. I haven't had any problems with my joints for about 12 or 13 years but the last 2 months my knees are killing me. My Doctor wanted me off Nexium and told me just to use over the counter products so I've been taking Rolaids. He doesn't think it's Lyme and treated me with Prolatherapy injections. Today I got to thinking about all the calcium I'm taking in with the Rolaids, about 10 to 12 tablets a day. Just checked, that's over 8,000 mg a day. Could this be my problem?

Well, take a look at this link:

Evidently you can. I would limit myself to the amount recommended on the bottle.

Why not Google "calcium overdose" and read up on it a little.
