My Ferritin is 7 range: 13-150. I am tested -Ve for WA1 IgG Antibody, IFA and Babesia microti Antibody panel.
The LLMD told me to supplement with Iron.Does anybody have the same situation.
Do you take digestive enzymes when you supplement with iron also do you take vitamin E.
Thank you, Barb

Hi, mine used to be 8. I took a slow iron product (CVS brand), 325 mg/day. Doc told me to take on an empty stomach with a chewable Vit. C. and to split it into two doses if I get constipated.

Mine was 8, I took Iron 3 times a day and got it up to 13. I still take a lot of iron. I can't remember what it was at last count but it is a long standing issue with me. I take 325 mg three times a day, with lots of fiber capsules too.

My iron was low too. Just had it retested again but dont have results yet. Been supplementing with a supplement called Blood Builder that is purchased from Whole Foods.
It has increased my blood levels in the past and does not cause constipation. It can be also purchased through Vitacost:
Thank you all. My LLMD also told me to take OTC. My thyroid doctor was having "Iron Complex" in her office. So I bought one. But worried about the digestive enzymes, fiber and Vitamin E

Iron bis-glycinate is very well absorbed and does not cause constipation.

I don't take iron. My ferritan is 10. My hemo is super high, so I don't supplement.
I figure, until I get the babs under control, it might not help anyway.
It think this is such a mystery in lyme. Like the magnesium issue.
