Can lung pain have any relation to lyme?

I'm about to break down and cry. It's a very subtle pain, but there.

Three times in the past year I've had a bronchitis-like illness that has been treated with short courses of antibiotics.

My first and primary symptom is back and rib pain. Could this really be related to lungs?

I'm going to call my doc, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

It could be "air hunger". Do you feel like you have to take deep breaths??

Yes, I get the same thing, lung pain that sometimes feels like it's my ribs or back. Mostly though it seems to center on my diaphragm area.

At times I start freaking out that I have a blood clot in my lung or something because it does come with shortness of breath.

I have been to the ER when I had the symptoms, and they couldn't find anything.

I guess that type of thing can be related to Lyme, but my LLMD says it's more common with babesia.

I have Lyme and babesia and the lung/chest pain in one of my dominant symptoms. Its a strange pain that is hard to describe. But I get really bad pain at the base of my sternum. And sometimes the pain travels around my ribcage.

It feels like I got punched in the ribs a few times. It's a horrible lingering pain that almost takes my breathe away.

The best way for me to handle the pain is to relax, take slow deep breaths and remain calm. I notice everytime I stress about the pain it only seems to get worse.

My LLMD believes my main problem is babesia. It is very hard to get control of, but I am confident that one day I will feel better.

By the way, these chest/ ribcage pains were really bad before I was diagnosed with Lyme. I have been on antibiotics for 6 months now. The pain isn't as frequent and not as strong as before. Currently, I am off of all antibiotics due to complications with my liver, but the good news is I do feel somewhat better.

Good Luck!!!

I suffered/suffer from the same symptoms, guys.

Want to test something out?

I noticed when I supplemented Zinc 50mg or higher, that it would make the pain temporarily worse.

I'm about to do it again tomorrow, because I haven't had much pain lately.

But, I wonder if the Zinc is attacking something in that area.

Zinc isn't supposed to hurt people, so if we all feel something from the zinc, then maybe it's a treatment??

Just my thoughts.

P.S. I notice it doesn't happen unless I take it for a couple days. I don't think there is a coincidence.
