Hi,
I'm new to the babs herxes/flares.

Does flare occur every 7 days?

I can't tell if I'm herxing or flaring from the babs.

Please help as I'm panicing.

Good question. I will be watching this thread, because in 4 years of this I still don't know a herx from a flare - they both are crazy and can last long, apparently.

In my mind... a flare means the disease has cropped up with worsening symptoms .. as in .. "it's getting worse."

A herx is an increase in symptoms because of the dying spirochetes. They throw off toxins as they die. That makes a person feel worse.. but they are actually getting better since they are killing keets!

The normal herx cycle is every 3-5 wks... but you can herx just about any day or time your body decides to!

Nothing to panic about either way. You are on meds and it looks like they are working!
