So I've been doing really well for years. Up until just the last few months...and in the last few weeks I've started to have more weird flair ups. I used to get them all the time in the beginning.
Basically the brain fog gets real bad, my heart starts pounding, I get dizzy, sick to my stomach and often get the shakes. It's a spell that will usually last for a day and then the next morning I'm better. I'm in the middle of one right now and am feeling like I'm dying
What the heck is this? Lyme? Bart? Babesia? I'm currently taking Mepron and Zithromax...

When my husband flares like this, it's always Babesia. Are you responding to the Mepron/Zith?
I agree with Lymetoo, as well. Symptoms sound like mine when I'm hypo or hyperglycemic. Are you on a low carb diet?

I am Hypoglycemic and I do have to watch my blood sugar. I'm sure that contributes to it...but there is something else going on too.
Maybe it is the Babesia...I haven't been sure. I have a hard time tolerating the Mepron so the amounts I take are a lot smaller than what most people would be taking. Maybe it's not enough to do the job?
Any chance this could be a herx from the Mepron? Of course this was going on before I started the Mepron....

My husband sweats on Babesia treatment, but not with flares. That's how he tells if his meds are working.
