Does anyone experience major herxes every 8 weeks? I know that 4 week cycles are typical, and I get those too for sure, but it seems like every 8th week or so I get an even bigger herx (or I'm hoping that's what it is). I seem to have developed a pattern where about every other month I just get knocked on my tush! I'll be doing OK and then wham!

Is this typical of any coinfection.. an 8 wk cycle?

Thanks!!
V

I've never heard of an eight week cycle. My LLMD has told me they are every three to five weeks.

I'm bumping this up for others to see...

Could happen, I guess. The usual is 3-5 wks.

I think it can be different times for different people. Just because most people are in the average range doesn't mean you can't be out of that range.

The more important thing for you is that it seems to have a pattern, and so it would make sense that it's probably a herx reaction. Just my opinion, for what it's worth...

This is interesting...

For 3-5 years before I got sick (I got sick 2 years ago), it was like clockwork.

Every other month, 1-3 days before my period, I would feel like I was getting the flu. Achy, extremely tired, sore throat, headache. Right after dinner, I'd take handfuls of vitamin C and go to bed early and the next morning I'd be fine.

But I always wondered about that. It was 8 weeks like clockwork. After awhile, my husband even figured it out - and that's sayin' somethin'!

Now in hindsight, I know I've had Bartonella for, well, at least 5 years (maybe 7) and that would fit, wouldn't it.

But I really don't think I had lyme until the bite that made me sick, April 19, 2009. Oh, look, an anniversary coming up. Lucky me.
