I will be starting Questran probably Sat. I didn't realize it was actually a cholesterol lowering drug until I just read on it.
I am on Zocor, should I keep taking this? I take an updatd list of all meds and supps to each of my appointments, wouldn't you think they would say something? I will be taking it everyday.

- I can't answer your question (and I really don't think cholesterol is the problem its made out to be) but surely we do need some cholesterol so you don't want it going too low. I just wanted to be sure you don't have the "lite" version as that can contain aspartame and that is very excitotoxic, neurotoxic. Be sure to check for additives.
Good luck. -

I did talk to my pharmacist. I'm on only 20 mg zocor, he said maybe depending on how long he keeps me on it, I could just get my cholesterol tested.
It says "contains sucrose", which I believe would be sugar. I had read that in previous posts when I did a search. Hopefully it's ok.

I took it a while back and got mine from a compounding pharmacy (they can make it without the additives) to avoid the aspartame and sucrose.
It was more expensive that way, but worth it for me.
