Wondering if anyone else has experienced or heard of this???

Last Thursday morning I found a tiny deer tick attached to me.

For the 2 days prior, I had a big re-emergence of Neuro. symptoms - all twitchy and pins and needled and headache etc... I had just started on Dif. and thought it was a yeast die off.

Upon speaking to my LLMD, he thinks that the Neuro. symptoms were coming from an allergic reaction to the tick venom/saliva, which of course has Neurotoxins in it.

So, was wondering if anyone has heard of this sort of thing; An allergic reaction to tick venom/saliva that would result in immediate Neuro. symptoms.

Neuro symptoms have calmed down but still not feeling great. Prior to getting bitten I was feeling great and started pulsing my abx.s.

If it is indeed an allergic reaction to the venom as opposed to lyme or co.(which he is now treating me for just in case)how long for the toxins to leave the body? DW

eek. I would say that you may have gotten a dose of lyme vs. neuro toxins. Unless he is saying that the Lyme that the tick MAY have given you had a die off when it entered your body.

Its about a 1 in 2 chance that the tick had Lyme.

eek..I know...Your theory makes complete sense as well.

He thinks it was ann allergic reaction because I reacted so quickly with Neuro. symptoms. HIs thoughts are if it were lyme I would not have reacted so quickly.

With that said, nothing is for sure and I am on Doxy and Biaxin again!

But you know..who really knows right?

Looks like my hike in the woods cost me at least 30 more days of abx.'s - and just when I was feeling "normal" again.

no! I do not agree! It is the DIFLUCAN!
I get enourmous twitching from it!

Diflucan stays a long time in the body as well! And works on lyme and yeast.

swedish; Intersting because I stopped my Dif. just to see what would happen.

After day 2 of stopping I have zero neuro. stuff and am beginning to feel human again.

I am now thinking maybe it WAS the anti-fungal. I am scared like hell to go back on it but know that I need to.

It felt worse then a lyme herx! Gotta get the crap out sooner then later!

swedish; BTW..Do you happen to know if Nystain is any easier to handle?

My LLMD suggested going on that if the Dif. is too tough to handle for now... Thanks
