Okay, I've been doing what I think is NFP since we were married, and both my kids were conceived using NFP--I kind of figured things out for myself.

Usually I have no problem determining when I ovulate because I get intense pain on one side or the other, so I'm sure when it happens.

Of course, this past month, I had no warning pains.

We decided to take a chance and have "real sex" for the first time in probably 3 years. I figured we were safe, as I was just coming off that time of the month.

Well, it has been 2-3 weeks since then, and for the past few days I have been nauseated and dizzy, and yesterday I had excess saliva, which was making me sicker.

I was thinking it was a lyme thing, but of course hubby has been asking if I'm pregnant--and he's got me all worked up.

I don't think I'd show positive even if I am pregnant, so I haven't gotten a test yet.

I'm just wondering how accurate NFP is when lyme is involved.

I'm a male and can't answer your question. However, I'm not sure I'd want to take a huge risk like that based on a gut feel. Unless, you're not really concerned. [Smile] I hope it all works out.

It's not easy but I hope worries can be put aside until the time when you get a test. Nothing is ever 100%. While lyme often certainly does mess up cycles, periods often just come late and anyone, so it may be just a delay.

The good news is that if you do turn out to be pregnant, you already have a LLMD who can guide you regarding considerations.

You say you don't think a test would work just yet. Your mind will ease a bit to just find out exactly when a test could be done (and then repeat it a few times). Call a family planning clinic and find out for sure about details. Then, at least, you know that part.

You might call your LLMDs office and ask if you should do anything different right now with your medicines, just in case.

Good luck. I hope this turns out to be just fine and that your mind is soon eased.

I'm thinking this is just a flare up right now, because now my leg muscles feel weird, and I'm having more air hunger than usual.

My period isn't even late yet, so I doubt I'd be showing sx anyway.
